I've worked out here since the place was first constructed and loved it's convenient and clean facility. Why the 3Corps leadership includes it as a "mask required" facility escapes the mind entirely. How one expects to force someone to wear a oxygen restricting mask due to blanket binary covid rules is beyond me. Then again the army is always behind the power curve when it comes to using common sense. Please let intelligent minds prevail if you're going to institute a mask policy even when the entire State doesn't have a mask policy please make it in accordance with realistic expectations. The PX the commissary the shoppette sure. The gym no, it's only a matter of time before no one keeps going here.

With a huge variety of exercise machines, as well as a sauna for both male & female patrons. Indoor running track which is above a basketball court! Plus the approachable employees are professional & keep the facility clean. WFHPFC is the best choice for fitness within the 254.

Great gym and staff. Hours of operation is what bothers me. 0500-0900 & reopen at 1600. Should open earlier. But I know it's not up to the staff. It's mandated from above. That's when most people show up though, after 0900 and thru lunch. Should reopen NLT 1500.

The gym is decent. What you expect for a free military gym. The staff is usually either inattentive or insulting based on your questions. Despite being paid enough for the senior person to drive a Maserati, the gym demands the units supply soldiers to clean the gym when soldiers aren't allowed to use the gym during a large portion of open hours. Pretty sure people are being paid to clean the gym while soldiers could be better employed elsewhere.

This is my go to gym. I can go here and feel like people aren't judging me. I hate going to other gyms because they are always packed and this one isnt. The sauna is always open, there are always machines available, and if they aren't there is plenty of other things to work on while you wait. Staff is always best nice, place is always clean.

Really clean gym with everything you need to complete your workout! Staff prides themselves in keeping the place in tip top shape. Not a very busy place on the weekends so you have plenty of time to get what you need.

I’m not a fan of the CrossFit type gyms main post has, and West fort hood is the only one that’s never really busy and has all the free weights and machines you need. Not much for cables but if I go here every day and never have to wait on a machine or a bench.

The staff work very hard to keep this gym clean and well maintained. The locker room, showers, and saunas are spotless. The staff is very knowledgeable about the equipment and are always willing to lend a hand.

Great place to work out. Has a large free weight room, a room with resistance equipment, indoor track and cardio equipment. Play basketball, racquetball or try out the climbing wall for a real challenge! Staff are always friendly and helpful. So, welcome to a great place!

The gym I'd great. Decent amount of free weights, machines, and choices. Even has a great rock wall and basketball court. Only thing missing is a child care center so more could have the opportunity to work out. My husband and i have to switch off who works out when because someone has to watch the munchkin but that's not always conducive to our schedules. Other than that it's wonderful.
