Armor Gym

I absolutely love this gym! It accommodates to everything I need to do for my goals! The staff are so friendly and always help me anytime I need it! This gym makes me feel like I am at home! I could spend hours here!

I've been going here for a few years and nothing has changed or improved, dont listen to all these fake reviews, the equipment is ancient and under maintained, not a lot if cables and they get stuck. Half the machines are unajustible, and they had a nice posing room but moved a bunch of powerlifting equipment into it. There the 2nd most expensive gym in knoxville and they charge a $70 mainttinence fee and you never see nothing new except some small things that no one really uses, I feel like I'm donating to the owners vacation fund...

Nothing beats Armor in Knoxville, it really isn't much a competition either. The atmosphere is unrivaled, the staff play music that can actually fuel a workout instead- meaning those days where you misplace your headphones you won't be stuck listening to the same 3 songs from the radio over and over again. The staff are great, but the people there make you want to become a better version of yourself. Simply put, there's always a bigger fish. Somebody is always stronger, always bigger- and that can really motivate people. Worth the 20 minute commute and the membership cost is worth every penny.

I have been going to this gym since it opened. The facility and the atmosphere is great! But, the upkeep and maintenance is horrible. They take a yearly equipment fee, but we have not gotten any new equipment with almost every power bar bent. Members have spent more on buying bars we need than the gym/owner has. So where is the “yearly membership” fee going?This is nothing like the gym (Arsenal) it was the first year it was opened. It has the potential to be the best gym in the states, but the owner needs to care a lot more than he does and take care of the gym/equipment and it’s members.

Top notch facility for all fitness goals. The equipment is plentiful and varied for those looking to train for powerlifting, bodybuilding, strongman, or just general well being. I had good interactions with the staff and could generally workout without worrying about crowding on different stations. The childcare is available during set hours and I know families who are big fans of it. I would 100% recommend Armor Gym to anyone looking to improve themselves through their chosen form of exercise.

Regrettably, I’ve had a relatable negative experience with this gym as the previous poster(s) explained. Again, I regret making this review, because the gym had such potential & I enjoyed working out there due to their vast amount of weightlifting equipment, but when I tried canceling, the process was not easy and the staff was not professional. The cleanliness of the gym could be better and saw a lot of staff “standing around & chatting” most days when there was a lot of obvious work to be done within the facility. Hopefully the owners/management fix these issues.

I dropped in as a daily at this facility while here on work for two days. Upon entering first take is a top notch facility. Great lay out. Great equipment. Fantastic energy. Overall great gym!Until you dive into it. Multiple staff standing around at the front desk “chatting”. Bathrooms smell and are extremely dirty. I used the shower both days so I could just go straight to the office after the gym. Looks like they haven’t been cleaned in a while. The same stuff that was there the day before was there on the second day. The mat in there hasn’t been moved in a few days. There is no curtain separating showers from the public. Also, there is no bench or handicap accessible procedures for the showers. Dust covered some of the machines. You can tell that it gets cleaned. But no detail work and definitely no deep cleaning in the bathrooms. The gyms where I am from in New York get deep cleaned three times a day and maintained through the day.Overall great gym. Just need to put the staff standing at the front desk wasting payroll to work. Detail work and the bathrooms should be TOP priority as that’s where a member can catch something. I would definitely take a look at your cleanliness and gym operation procedures.

I love the atmosphere and the equipment at this gym. They have everything you need for strength training. However, it is not very clean. I don’t know that the floors there are cleaned regularly- or ever- and there is dust everywhere. This would be a 5 star review if they would make cleanliness a priority.
