I'd give it 6 stars if I could! Seriously, I can't say enough great things about Flo Life BJJ and Mike Bidwell! Not only does Mike run a hugely popular site (BJJ After 40) he's created an absolutely amazing academy. Whether you're an experienced grappler, or first timer, this is the school for you and an experience that few other academies can offer..If you're in the Denver area do yourself and solid and go check out Flo Life BJJ!

I have visited and trained in literally hundreds of schools across the entire country. Flo Life BJJ is second to none. Mike and Sheena Bidwell have created a welcoming/family atmosphere and their instruction is some of the most innovative in the industry.

I have been training for the past 4 years now and I absolutely love this school. This is by far the best Jiu Jitsu school I have been too. The people are like a family and the vibes are immaculate. The techniques are very well covered and the instructors are very attentive to making sure everyone understands.

To be fair, the classes and instructors were really great. My son enjoyed his time there. They were really wonderful with the children and I liked the message they teach. However, after a few months we were unable to take our son to class due to changes in our work schedules and called to stop classes. This was in April. We were then informed that we had to give them 2 months notice in order to leave the class. They would continue to charge the credit card for the next three months. So it cost us $600 to leave the class. I have been unable to get ahold of someone to talk about the extra month they charged me for. When you start make sure you understand they require 2 months notice to stop going to the class and will charge you for those months. Our friends who also went to the class and stopped were charged for 3 months after they stopped going to the class. They have still continued to charge my card each month after that for another 6 months. I now have to cancel my credit card because they will not stop charging me. This is a very unethical business practice.

I was referred to Flo Life BJJ by a friend a few years ago and I'm so glad that he did.Professor Mike and Sheena are hands-down some of the best martial arts teachers I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. They both teach in a flowing and easygoing nature so that everyone, from a beginner to a more advanced practitioner, can understand.Also, the group that normally trains BJJ during the week is filled with friendly people that aren't out to hurt anyone or become "champions." This is to say that no one that I've met here has a big ego and I've never worried about getting injured.On top of it all, the pricing for classes at Flo Life is very good and there are classes to fit almost everyone's schedule during the week and even on weekends.If you're thinking about training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Flo Life BJJ is an excellent place to start. You'll feel like you're part of a family (or at least a close group of friends) and will want to keep coming back.

There are so many wonderful things I can say about Flo Life. Mike and Sheena have built an amazing community that my children and I have proudly been part of. Everyone at Flo Life has become a family to us. The learning is fun and most importantly safe. I will enjoy many more years at Flo.
