I think there is a special energy that comes from people who are passionate about what they do and Yang's is bursting at the seams with it. We ended up here after I won a self-defense class about 5 years ago. I loved the environment, instructor, and curriculum so much that I moved my son here from another martial arts program. It was one of the best decisions I have made! Yang's is more than just a martial arts school; it's a family and a community. My daughter and I are now kung fu students as well. My children learn teamwork, discipline, humility, and so much more. I am pushed to work harder and am gaining strength and confidence. Mr. Fazzio (kung fu program director and instructor) is knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and kind (with kids and adults who are a bit uncoordinated!). Diana and Alex (owners) are welcoming from the moment you walk in and always available for anything you need. I cannot sing their praises enough and urge you to visit for yourself. It is a hidden gem tucked away in Dundee Park and I am so glad we have found our way here. I urge you to visit and see for yourself.

I have edited this review because I realize that it's unfair to penalize Yang's Martial Arts for the fault of something that occurred at Yang's Fitness. My review there still stands, but I have nothing but good things to say about the martial arts program for children and adults. I was a member for over 10 years as a kid and teen, and this program helped me learn valuable social skills and teamwork, and got me out of the house.
