WorkHarder Gym is a specialized gym dedicated to lifting and strength training, strategically located at 5320 S Shackleford Rd, Little Rock, AR. A go-to place for powerlifters, bodybuilders, and average gym-goers, it sports a forward-thinking environment that motivates members to work harder. Despite its size, pundits praise the gym for its cleanliness, top-notch equipment, inclusive atmosphere, and helpful owners. With a focus on community and respect, it has made a mark for itself in the landscape of Arkansas's fitness industry.

The gym, however, falls short in terms of offering a wide variety of cardio machines. And while they have made significant strides to make the gym secure and comfy for women, some female customers still feel a bit uneasy. In addition, some criticisms have been made about the gym's owner seemingly deriding powerlifters, filming their lifts, and members wearing compression gear.

Pros:

  • Great location, easily accessible.
  • Small, private gym that fosters closer bonds.
  • Offers exceptional customer service.
  • Focused more on strength training.
  • Praised for its cleanliness and organization.
  • Extremely knowledgeable and helpful owners.
  • Enjoys a friendly, encouraging, and respectful member base.
  • Well-kept, top-quality facilities and lifting equipment.
  • Strong community spirit and respect amongst members.
  • Continually promotes a hard-working vibe and mental rigor.

Cons:

  • Limited variety of cardio machines on offer.
  • Some complaints about the owner's attitude and comments.
  • Music played at loud volume, making it difficult for members to listen to their own tracks.

I joined this gym a couple of years ago and it has been the best workout experience I have ever had. Not only are the owners extremely knowledgeable and helpful but the members are as well. Everyone at this gym has been nothing but nice regardless of how much or little gym experience you may have. This gym truly has a unique vibe to it where everyone is there for the same simple reason, to better themselves and build others up along the way. The owners have also taken time out of their day to help me personally with questions about lifting forms and workouts.10/10 would recommend for anyone looking for a place to work harder and reach their goals. All of the gym equipment is top quality and clean, the music selection is awesome, and the members and owners are hype, friendly, and humble.

Well equipped specialty gym with everything you need and more. Passing through LR my partner and I were fully expecting to have to go to a nearby “no judgement zone” - we were pleasantly surprised to find WorkHarder Gym and even more surprised to see their modest day pass offer (even for out of state travelers). When we came in to train, we were even more impressed by the staff and owner who gave us a tour and were extremely hospitable. You can tell immediately that these are people that truly care about their business and being of service to their community. Thank you WorkHarder Gym!

I’ve been with this gym since the beginning when it was a dream in Christian’s garage. There’s not a better gym in the state. Period. The cleanliness is unmatched, the atmosphere is second to none, and it’s a place where all lifters can feel welcome. Powerlifters, bodybuilders, and your average gym goer all call this place home. You won’t find just one particular sort of person here. It’s a place where everyone can go and feel welcome.Christian does a great job getting to know the members, and that’s what keeps people coming back. The vision that he and Connor have is insane, and there’s nothing that’s going to stop them from making their dreams a complete realityStronger Together

I started coming to this gym just over a year ago. There’s something truly different about a place that’s run and managed by the people who built it from nothing on their own time and money. Not only does this gym have top notch equipment and an awesome atmosphere, but everyone who comes through the door, regardless of fitness goals or background, is treated with respect and immediately welcome. This gym and the community they have created are second to none.

Did a day pass, solid gym, solid staff. Not lacking at all with plates, bars, or equipment. It is more centered around weights so not much cardio if that’s what you’re looking for. Staff is great and was more than willing to answer questions. Well worth it over the other commercial gyms in Little Rock.

Best gym in the state! Being a female in a gym, I don’t feel the least uncomfortable walking in. Owners are top notch and always there to help any way they can. If you’re looking for a gym to work on being the best version of you, then this is your place!!

I’ve been with this gym since it opened when I was 19 and I will continue to come back. In this gym, you are pushed to be better physically, mentally, socially, etc. It’s a no BS environment made for people who truly want to better themselves and those around them. Anybody who talks bad about this gym just doesn’t fit the mind set and is better off slamming weights and being dirty somewhere else. You come here to work harder and learn. It’s about self improvement and an open mind. This place is not meant for those with closed minds and those that refuse to develop in all aspects of their life. You would be extremely hard pressed to find a place that cares more about your goals than this gym.

Good non-commercial gym. Very clean and well maintained, plenty of specialty lifting equipment for those looking for that power lifting experience. Staff were friendly and answered questions. They also have a great set of rules that make it more comfortable for women to workout without fear of getting harassed. They do have a good playlist, but it is played at a super high level so even if you wore headphones it'd be hard to hear your own music. The cardio equipment is limited, so not a good option if you like cardio options.
