I recently started taking Pilates lessons at Vero Pilates on 4th Street in Long Beach. It is a very nicely appointed studio with staff who are friendly and knowledgeable. Clients who I have met there have also been very welcoming and engaged. My favorite instructor is Andrea Smith who I have used for several private sessions. Andrea is very creative and her bimonthly Movement Matters class is something I look forward to. Movement Matters is a 90 minute fusion of Pilates, Yoga, meditation and dance, with a lovely sound bath included.

I can’t say enough about Vero Pilates , staff and studio are wonderful. The owner Veronica , manager Crystal are so welcoming . I had two back surgeries last year and physical therapy just wasn’t helping , so decided to go back to Pilates and glad I did . My instructor Caylen is the best , very knowledgeable and has helped me so much already . I’ve also have Andrea every couple weeks and she is also very knowledgeable and they both push me , which I really like . I love the private sessions , they also offer classes . I would recommend this studio to anyone going through rehab from surgery , or You just need to strengthen your muscles and stretch .

If you have the chance to take her class, Krysti is an amazing instructor. She brings such a positive energy to her instruction and backs it with a deep understanding of the body, preventing injury from commonly overlooked technique errors. If she's available, definitely book her.

I have been working with Andrea for almost a year and a half. It’s hard to put into words what she has done for me. I struggled with back pain for almost a decade before I started working with her, and as a runner, I would often experience knee pain and other running-related issues. It almost seems too good to be true, but honestly, after I started working with Andrea, my life changed. Not only am I stronger and more resilient, I no longer identify as a person with back pain (it's completely gone). I run faster with very few running issues than I ever have before. Andrea is definitely the best at what she does, her experience goes beyond what you think a pilates instructor would offer. Her presence, intelligence, intuitive knowing, and attention makes her phenomenal. I feel incredibly lucky to be her client.

I have tried doing Pilates on my own but having Krysti lead me through the exercises resulted in much greater benefits. Without her expert instruction, I missed all the little details of the positioning. She explains things very precisely and evaluates your position to gain the maximum benefit for the targeted muscle group. She is also very personable and makes the workout fun and invigorating.
