My dad and I attended this gym for around 2 years. No issues until we tried to leave the gym. We both have been charged yearly club fees for SEVERAL YEARS after we have not had membership.Update:The fees were being charged due to the way membership is processed for insurance-based subscription. You have to jump through some hoops to cancel membership to avoid yearly dues. The gym gave my dad some trouble about cancelation, but I was finally able to get both of our accounts off. I guess I won't really know until next year if they charge again.

I joined the day it opened and it’s only gotten better and better. The owners have poured their heart and soul into this place and it shows. It cost a little more than your run of the mill corporate gyms but you get what you pay for. Yes there are contracts, and yes it is fully explained to you when you sign up, no lawyer necessary to navigate the language of it. All the equipment you could want and constantly adding on and improving.

The Iron Asylum is a great gym. They have enough equipment that you don't feel like you have to figure out what's a good time to go. I'm always comfortable when going. For a small business owned gym the owners makes sure they think about the customers and listen to any concerns I've ever had. My son actually wanted to start working out and I asked for advice to make sure it was safe for his age and they gave me great advice to help with a consistent workout. I highly recommend this gym.

Not gonna lie, as a female I was skeptical of this gym. I decided to give it a shot and it turned out to be a great decision. This place is awesome! They literally have EVERYTHING and still growing!!! The owner is a great guy who’s always looking for ways/ideas to provide for his members. If you’re looking for a good place to workout, this is definitely your spot!

I just went through the gym, I'm thinking about switching from the former Elite Gym now Pro Flex. The Asylum definitely has all the equipment needed and then some. I love that they have a section setup for nothing but calves. So many so called gyms have little to no calf equipment. Bodybuilding can be difficult in some of the fitness centers theses days.

I've only been working out for a year, over at Gym Box, but this is definitely a gym to help me get to the next level in my workout. Diverse equipment, extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff, and atmosphere, this gym has it all.

Pros: Friendly staff, owner is super nice, there is a plethora of bodybuilding and strongman equipment that you won't find at any other gym. Price per month is slightly higher than other gyms, but the increase in quality definitely accounts for that.Cons: For those who work long shifts, the gym closes at 10, which in my experience is fairly early compared to most gyms. In addition, although there is a wide variety of equipment, there are only two squat racks in the entire gym, both of which are usually filled up.
