Amazing place to get a good work out. You don't even feel the time pass by. 1st class is free. If you hate the typical gym, you will enjoy working out here.

To me, City of Angels is more than just a gym. It's a sanctuary, a space where I get to be physically creative and to be challenged. The moment step foot into CoA I can that people are pushing themselves. And that always brings a smile to my face. The owners and staff are exemplary people. They greet and welcome you with genuine enthusiasm and it's really difficult to not feel like a part of a family.Every instructor put effort into their lessons/workouts and music playlist! They know boxing and classes are challenging but like most anything in life, you get what you give.Sparring is abundant on Saturday mornings and on weekdays when the AM team is training. Bring your up to date USA boxing license because they won't let you into the ring without it.

Workouts were basics , if you only do 20-30min of the workout they charge full price which is pretty dumb and prices are way to pricy . I recommend shadow boxing and basic workouts at the gym and I guarantee you’ll get the same workout .

Here is where I sweat, and it's my happy place!Friendly and skilled coaches that take the time to help everyone with boxing technique on the bag and in the ring.Great programming for boxing, I want to be here every day. It's hard to take a rest day, and we all feel this way.

Where to begin. This is hands down the best boxing gym in Los Angeles. The classes offer authentic conditioning from instructors who have actual experience in the ring. Plenty of heavy bags, speed bags, uppercut bags. Two rings. A full gym area with weights and machines. You won't find the kind of community that exists at City of Angels at another gym in LA. After six months of training 5-6 days a week, I still find the classes exhausting / instructional. If you want to take it to another level, there are always trainers around for private training and the possibility of sparring. First class is free, with free use of gloves and wraps. Not sure what the reviewer below is referring to -- if you pay for a class and leave early - don't expect a discount. There's no business that offers a refund because you can't handle the workout. But if you end up staying be prepared to gain a lot of boxing knowledge, strength and good friends.

I love coming to this place they make you feel comfortable and if you are actually looking for a good workout this is the right place they actually push you to have a good workout depending on the instructor because each instructor there is works out differently and there are some that are harder on you

Hands down best gym in Los Angeles. I was a regular for roughly 9 months before moving away from LA. From day 1 to my last day I was pushed to the edge and never had a easy day at the gym. At City of Angels boxing gym everyone from the instructors, front desk, fighters training and the other participants in the classes are all very friendly and welcoming. All shapes, sizes, and ages come to this gym to get a quality workout. I highly recommend anyone and everyone to check it out to see for yourself.

I'm rating this business low for the following: First, No sparring unless you're license. Secondly, exercises at City of Angels could be done at any gym with more space and better equipment. I believe the price is way to high, I've been to another boxing gym with a lower monthly fee that really focus on learning the fundamentals of boxing. Love the Ali's mural though!

This place is amazing!!! You feel like you are family. I am always greeted with a warm welcome and Alex and Jesse are so sweet, they always offer to put your wraps on for you. (It's the little things that make me happy) You get an amazing work out. Dawn and Alex are incredible at their craft of boxing. You will get a great workout, make some great friends and feel amazing afterwards. There is no reason not to join! I honestly get so pumped for the classes that I am counting down the clock until it's time for class. Even after the work out, I feel like a million bucks. Thank you Alex, Jesse and Dawn! You guys are incredible!
