Planet Fitness in Louisville offers a clean and well-maintained gym experience with friendly and supportive staff. It's located at Louisville Plaza and is known for its affordability and a wide range of cardio and weight machines. The atmosphere is usually calm, and you rarely have to wait for equipment. The gym's focus on inclusivity and maintaining a judgment-free zone adds to its appeal.
However, there are significant issues with shower facilities, as many customers report consistently cold water. Furthermore, the gym's hours can be inconsistent, despite advertising 24-hour service. These drawbacks may be a deal-breaker for some potential members.

Nice gym with interesting members. Aside from the teenage girl employees texting at the front desk as you walk in the door, often ignoring you, and the fact that there are 50 unused ellipticals that should be removed, and the tiny free weight area that’s overcrowded, the gym is awesome. The machines are in great shape, the locker rooms are clean, the employees are generally great, and there are lots of TVs for those who want to watch them.Suggestions:1) I really wish the ellipticals could be removed to make space for a way bigger free weight area. There is zero chance of more than maybe ten people using ellipticals at once. I’ve never seen more than three people at once.2) The 30-minute workout area is unused. Probably a corporate requirement to have it. But it’s wasted space.3) Could we get a few new tricep pull-down ropes for the cable machines? They’re super worn out and there are only two. They’re also often moved to the other side of the gym.4) The soap by the bathroom sinks is frequently empty.

This place is nice but there are WAY too many unused treadmills and not enough hot water. Terrible misallocation of capital. The owners should sell a lot of the unused treadmills and upgrade the hot water system.Update: 1 star. Ice cold showers on a Sunday when hardly anyone was there

Ok as far as PF locations go, but I can’t workout here. I workout during working hours and can’t return sweaty. The showers are lukewarm at best. This is an ongoing issue it seems they don’t care to rectify.

Great place and never a wait for a machine. Lacey, the manager, and her staff are fabulous, kind, encouraging, and welcoming. You will be greeted with a friendly smile and clean equipment.

The facility and staff are wonderful; HOWEVER, we joined in part to have access to hot showers after our workouts. Today the water is ice cold and I was told by several people this is an ongoing issue in this facility. Please fix the hot water system.

I enjoy this one. Everything is clean and taken care of. I’ve only been to a few other ones as well, and i find that this one has more equipment if you require that. The staff is also very nice and accommodating.

I went to Louisville Planet Fitness after a year of traveling full time to cancel my membership. Parker Krug was there, I explained that I wanted to hop on the massage chairs and charge my phone. He helped me sign up for the chairs, which are nicer than any of the chairs I’d used in any Planet Fitness across country. After I used the Black Card spa I decided to keep my membership. Parker had a very healing presence which definitely convinced me to stay as a member. -Lori

The most consistently inconsistent Planet Fitness or gym I have ever been to. Hours are whenever they feel like. Employees just make up their own hours it feels like. Do the managers know about this? I sort of understand not being 24 hours in this town, but when you expect a place to be open and schedule your workout around then and show up to find the employees decided to close early on a whim... It leaves a bad taste. Find a gym elsewhere folks, this is not the place.

Always clean, never crowded, all the equipment you'd ever need.
