My 10 year old has been going to OKs since he was 5, and while he may not be the most athletic kid, he has learned that it takes hard work to achieve his goals.I would recommend OKS in either Macon or Forsyth if your kiddo needs a confidence boost.

We love the instructors ❤️ Many of them even go out of their way to visit and work at the Forsyth Dojo and Forsyth Activities as well. They are wonderful leaders for these students and pillars of respect in this community.

My son has been attending OKS for six years, and it has helped with his focus due to ADHD. The staff are great with kids! Especially as students get older, it gets more difficult and they will have to be corrected a lot. It is difficult to correct kids in a way that doesn’t make them feel defeated, but the instructors do a really good job of that. It’s a great organization!

My son joined OKS about 7 years ago when he was 4 and we stayed until March 23 when we transferred for military orders. The staff was great with helping my son control his emotions and reactions. We enjoyed our time with the entire OKS staff, Micheal and Trell are the best. When problems arise the leadership handled it with professionalism and generally always favored my perspective. I would recommend OKS over any other Karate school in the Macon area.George B

In the beginning OKS was great. I recently moved and followed protocol to terminate my contract with all requested paperwork. The company has failed comply with their own protocol and has continued to take the payments from my account. I have/had been communicating with Jahtrell who now is not responding to any email(s) and/or voicemails I have left to get this matter rectified and NOTHING. This has been going on since April of 2023.Well here is an update since I had to physically go to OKS on 6/72023 I'm absolutely appauled by the unprofessionalism of Jahtrell. Acting as if I was irritating him for my concerns of them continuing to take money out of my account when we spoke in April regarding cancelation and he confirmed receipt of the required paperwork. The unprofessional body language of popping his knuckles and taken deep breathes (at this moment I felt threatened) because of his inability to to handle his duties to properly cancel my daughter's membership. Advising me to cancel my card because it takes 30 to 60 days. This was not mentioned in the previous conversation regarding the cancelation. I have never heard of a cancelation process taking that long. I advised I will not inconvenience myself with canceling my card because he once again doesn't want to deal with his lack of ability to handle is portion of this matter. This is so disheartening of his actions regarding this matter. Then advise he will only refund me for the month of June only when I canceled in April and they still took (basically stole) the payment for May. I am a firm believer of karma and his actions are not justifiable. He was not once apologetic for the ramifications he caused and that is what really stunned me. Didn't apologize for failure of returning my calls or responding to my emails to rectify the matter and then asked me when I sent the initial cancelation. That further proves this was not a concern of his and handled the matter at hand in that moment. It's all about accountability which he failed to accept on his behalf.

We cancelled our child’s classes due to a military relocation. The instructor explained the cancellation instructions verbally & written several times in January & February of 2023. We were only instructed to provide a lease/mortgage or utility bill in the location we’re moving to. We provided the original requested information & that was not enough for OKS Management. Please see the details below:For January we just let OKS have their money since we requested the cancellation information on the 1st week of January. In February, we provided our bank’s branch manager with all the documents we submitted to OKS and the text messages from OKS instructors & our bank reversed the charges.Fast forward to March 2023, we’re billed again even though we submitted proof of relocation & the cancellation form twice before (the instructor kept stating that he did not receive our emails). On our 3rd time of submitting the relocation proof, we sent an email & a text message of a photo of the email, cancellation form & relocation proof. Miraculously the instructor confirmed receipt of the requested documents. The instructor then refunded us the amount we were billed for March via Cash App & continuously apologized for the inconvenience. Moreover the instructor advised that we contact our bank and put a stop payment on the recurring charges. The instructor stated that his “bosses don’t believe you all have moved & they will not stop billing you”. We immediately contacted our local banking branch & were told a business representative should never instruct a customer to do that & that the business practices seem fishy.Fast forward to April 21, 2023, we received an email from either an OKS Martial representative or the owner stating that billing will continue unless we provide school proof because the name on the lease & utility bills “has someone else’s name on it”. He also stated that providing proof shouldn’t be that difficult.I was so offended by the latest set of instructions & statements. The OKS representative/owner refuses to take accountability & understand the inconvenience being placed on a family. You’re requesting a family to now provide proof of relocation a 4th time because you’re not satisfied with the instructions or communication your employees provided. And to make matters worse you question the name on the proof of residency we provided. That’s totally disrespectful, distasteful & validates what the OKS instructor said verbally about his bosses not believing we moved. This is not 1950, blended families exist. Not every child has the same last name as their parents. Furthermore the original enrollment documents list both parents names & no one questioned if our names looked right when we signed up & when our payments were processed. On 4/21, we submitted the school proof as requested & we included my husband’s military affiliation to squash this assumption that we’re being untruthful because our names don’t look right. We also advised the owner/representative that OKS staff should be retrained or the ambiguous cancellation form be rewritten.I’ll provide an update to the ongoing saga if OKS refuses to stop billing us.Our caution to all families who frequently relocate due to military orders or job responsibilities please do your research on OKS.
