I entered and won a month of “free” personal training through a draw at a Sport Clips. Turns out you have to pay $45 for this free thing to cover some fees or something. I signed some papers and the guy went over some things with me. Really nice staff. One of the things that wasn’t explained to me was that after a week or so if you don’t cancel the “free trial”, you get stuck in a one year contract and have to pay $45/month. I know for a fact that it wasn’t mentioned to me because anytime I sign up for any type of limited trial I make sure to set my calendar to remind me to cancel it. Unfortunately the papers I signed did say in them that that’s what would happen. I wish it was brought up to me during the initial meeting as I would not be in this situation. I tried canceling it but they said I had to pay over $200 which is ridiculous. They also didn’t switch my automatic payment to $45 and on the 1st of the next month, and I got charged over $100 which was the actual amount for personal training if I had continued with it. I had set up automatic payments for some bills so them taking that amount out caused an overdraft fee from my bank. And then it took several days for that money to come back into my account. I’m really upset about all of this as I’m a student and have many other bills/loans to pay and struggle to keep paying this bill on top of everything else. You can go to Planet Fitness and get everything plus more for $20/month, so why would you even want to pay $45/month for a smaller gym with less equipment. From the staff I’ve met there I do think they’re really nice and friendly, and I don’t have a problem with any of them. I just wish there was some way for me to get rid of this.

Smaller facility tucked away in a shopping center.

The staff at Anytime North Madison went above and beyond to assist me with a recent issue I had regarding my key fab. They treated me like a valued member and I would recommend this gym to anyone. Big thanks to all the staff and management.

My husband and I have been at the Northside AF for a little over a month now. The staff is super friendly, and modify workouts to meet the physical needs of members. There are numerous private changing areas and bathrooms with locking doors, so privacy is not an issue. The price is a little high for memberships that include training, but you get your money's worth!

Very angry customer.. I have been with AF for almost 7 years. I had a 2 year contract that Ive been wanting to get out of for a year but I knew I had a year left so I paid the monthly fees. After my contract was up I was relieved but found out that the last 3 months they have been charging me month to month... Without letting me now a heads up or anything. As a franchise they are not shy to run your credit card. I have nothing against anybody trying to better themselves by exercising or working in the fitness industry but this franchise is a gimmick. Why should they care so much about locking in a member to a contract. Money money money its disgusting.I will not get a refund for 4 months of not even being on site once!!! They don't care one bit about me. I have worked for companies that go above and beyond to help their employees and this franchise is a gimmick. If you want real comraderie, challenge, family, fun environment. Go to any crossfit gym, they will welcome you. Or if your on a budget go to planet fitness...Not going after anyone just a huge WARNING.

Staff is friendly, attentive and helpful. It often has a lot of people working out in the evening. It gets busier around 7a as well. You're allowed to pause your membership for a month up to three times. There is a year and two year contract and cancellation fee as well. Price could be a bit cheaper.

It's small and gets full quickly. Strict membership, was skeptical about signing a contract. Not a lot of benches to sit down. Why even go here when Princeton Club is cheaper and way bigger than this place with more sports to choose. This place steals your money giving you false information. It's ridiculous how much you pay for how little you get. Really you have to pay hundreds to quit your membership. Also the locker-room/changing area is not private or big so expect guys and girls changing in front of you. Only 3 bathrooms and 2 water fountains. Only good thing about this gym is that it's close to my house.Overall 1 star. Go to Princeton. Staff aren't as rude there and they won't scam you out of your $$$.
