Member for 6 years (since it opened) never pressured to buy anything, always clean, very reliable equipment, often upgraded! Literally couldn't be happier about this business.

Lost my copy of the membership contract and I called for clarification. I never got a call back and I continued to get billed after my contract had ended. I feel cheated thinking I could cancel anytime, but i could never afford the $200 cancellation fee. They are way more worried about shoveling in money than they are about customer service . Disgraceful .

Major issues: not a good gym for free weights. The gym size reserved for the free weight area is too small for the time of day I'm able to go. You might have a different experience if you only use the cardio or other lifting equipment.Minor gripe: Parking in the lot can be impossible certain times of the day. Be prepared to find street parking and walk up to a couple of blocks at certain times of the day. But you may be wise to park and walk anyway because the small, tight lot has gotten my car more door dings and scratches than any other lot I've ever used.

Great trainers and staff! They're always willing to help out and offering encouragement. One of my favorite Anytime gyms I've been to.

I had my "fitness assessment" with a trainer at this location. After telling me about his "tough love" attitude toward training and asking whether my father's illness would get in the way of my fitness goals (I wish I was kidding), he then tried to corner me into purchasing personal training package (at minimum $240/mo extra).I understand that trainers get paid when they have clients. That's ok, I get it. But I stated many times that I would need to speak with my husband about the money because we are on a very tight budget. His response was that I sign up now and talk to my husband later about it because I could cancel if it turned out to be a big deal. That is sneaky and underhanded, not to mention unethical.I don't feel comfortable going to this location anymore. I've sort of gone to another location, I have a few more months on my membership and I already have my cancellation notice ready. As for the gym itself. It's okay. It's nice to have access to free weights, but I often have to go late at night for space to use them.

Terrible Establishment. "Lost" our cancellation notice after we were tricked into the 30 day notice for auto renewal, so we continue to be billed.Avoid them at all costs.

awful. they told me when i signed that we could cancel at any time. (now have learned to read the contract carefully rather than take their word for it). then went in to end the auto renew. my membership finally expired, but they automatically renewed it! now I'm in a battle to try to get them to refund and actually process the cancellation this time!

It's pathetic that they are not partnered up with the building they are housed in, offering discounted memberships since the apartment tenants don't have a gym of their own to use. Also, sound proofing is a huge concern. This wasn't a well thought out location for a gym. If anything, they should offer the tenants of the building a deeply discounted membership as a form of an apology for the noises and vibrations the gym creates. Better yet, maybe they could have "quiet" hours were people aren't allowed to drop weights or bounce medicine balls off of the floor.Oh, and last complaint: It's quite annoying when going down the stairwell and the trainers are there and/or letting the members use it.

I never ever write reviews for anything but after I saw the other review I had to say something! I don't know what the other person was talking about - this gym is fantastic. Yes, it is small, and the machines are kind of close together, but that is my only complaint, and it's usually not an issue because it never gets that busy. The trainers and employees are amazing, everyone that works there is extremely friendly. The pricing doesn't seem random at ALL - they show you the binder with their pricing structure in it.I definitely recommend this gym. I always see neighbors and friends there. The staff always says hi, and they are supportive and encouraging. It's a great place to work out!

I recently moved to the West side and wanted to join a gym, but only during the winter months since otherwise it's very pleasant to exercise outside. I have been very frustrated with the employees of Anytime fitness because they behave very suspiciously. The first time I went in, they told me to sign in and then we discussed the available plans, which was fine. Then they called me and emailed me repeatedly after that even though I said I wouldn't be signing up at the gym for months. Eventually, when the weather was too cold to run and bike outside, I went back and discussed the pricing options, which were now totally different from the first time I had stopped in. It seems like they quote you a random price based on what they think you will pay, and they make up various plans, or lie about the available plans, to get you to sign up for a year or more rather than a few months. I signed up for a 7 day trial period to see whether I even wanted to go to that gym and during that period they again started calling me and emailing me all the time, asking me how I felt about the gym. Intrusive and annoying. When I finally decided to join the gym, they quoted me one price the day before, and then charged me an extra $40 the following day when I came in to sign up!!! These people are incredibly dishonest and are basically trying to extort as much money from you as possible. As for the facilities, they are all right at best. The treadmills and biking machines are situated VERY close to each other so that you can't avoid being in other people's personal space and are constantly smelling other sweaty people. Pretty gross. In addition, they pretend to offer 'fitness classes' that are really just a video projected onto a wall in a separate room. You can do the exact same thing by streaming exercise videos from Netflix or any other source in your own home without having to pay $50 a month. Save your money and buy a treadmill and sign up for streaming video from netflix. You'll save hundreds of dollars and avoid this sweaty smelly gym.
