Really good, old school gym. Equipment is older, but fully functional. The type of stuff Arnold and Lou used. Multiple squat racks, deadlift platforms and a chalk bowl! It’s tough to find a gym these days that allows chalk, let alone provides it. No IG influencers recording their workout here, just good people getting a great workout. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town!

My home away from home. Love it at Fords’s! Best atmosphere hands down.

At time of writing, Ford's has been my regular gym for over a year. It's an incredibly welcoming and friendly place, even to those who were knew to lifting like myself. With every piece of equipment one could need, Ford's couldn't be a more perfect place to get my workouts in throughout the week.

I exclusively train for powerlifting, so I was skeptical of the gym at first because on the surface it looks like a retro boxing gym. Spending just 5 minutes in that gym I felt silly about my initial judgement.Pros: Cheap compared to large commercial gyms, niche equipment (such as different types of bars, banded deadlifting platform, turf area of the gym), many power racks, heavy dumbbells upwards of 140 pounds. They also have a little shop to buy equipment, merchandise, or protein bars/drinks after your workout. Anything you want to train, they got it.Cons: Can be busy and crowded at times, some of the equipment placement is kinda awkward, not enough adjustable benches in my opinion. The pros vastly outweigh the cons. This is what I think of when I imagine a 5 star gym.

Ford’s Gym is the last real gym in Madison. The staff could not be more professional, all equipment is well maintained and cared for, and the gyms environment encourages focus and hard work in a way that is near impossible to find these days. Hands down the best gym I’ve ever been to

Hidden gem. I love the retro brick walls in the gym. Everyone at the front desk is super friendly and remembers you by name. I also purchased 20 personal training sessions with Eric. He is very kind and professional and a great person to learn about bodybuilding from.

Good equipment, friendly staff, and overall a good atmosphere.I've been coming here for a few months now (post-lockdown, previously having gone to Madtown Fitness East), and would recommend to anybody and everybody who is interested in getting exercise. People are happy to spot your lifts and give advice on your form.I haven't taken advantage of their other services, e.g., boxing lessons, but I assume that they're solid as well.

Like most weight lifting/ boxing gyms, this gym is no frills and has some awesome space and equipment for serious lifting. They have a few deadlifting platforms,😍 plenty of squat racks and the usual minimal cardio equipment. Not everything is perfect (some older equipment) but that almost makes me like this place better. The staff is friendly and chill.I tried the 1 week trial membership just before the pandemic and eventually bought an annual membership. They offer personal training (you will get a single session with membership purchase), a couple of group class-type workouts (also avail to tryout) and they have boxing classes as well. I feel welcome and at home, which is really nice. I really enjoy working out here. They've managed the pandemic really well and I'm happy to continue working out here.

Old school gym with a great vibe. Clean, friendly, and professional. Has a bit of something for everyone, whether you're looking to build that bodybuilding physique, lift the heaviest weights, train for strongman competitions, learn how to box, or just get into shape, Ford's is an excellent place to train.

Ford's gym has a great old-school feel to it. It's not grungy, but not distracting like some gyms that have mirrors everywhere. The set up is designed for hard work. I'm new in town, and since coming to this gym, nearly every day someone has come up to me in the gym to say hi and welcome me to the area. This is easily one of my favorite gyms that I've been to, and I've seen quite a few due to traveling for work. Good folks, good equipment, good atmosphere. This gym may be for you if you do:-Strongman-Powerlifting-Bodybuilding-Boxing-Crossfit-General Fitness
