As a beginner, it was frustrating when I'd go to other Jiu Jitsu schools just to get thrown to the wolves and basically do the best I could to survive without being taught the fundamentals. From the onset, I found Professor Alex to be very accomodating, gracious and patient with not only me, but students that were at different levels. They have a curriculum so no matter how early or advanced you are, there is always a place for you to work with others at your skill level so you can learn the basics. Crawl, walk, then run. It is very clean, spotless actually, and the facilities are first rate. I can't recommend this enough regardless of your skill level. My little girls love it too, I'm grateful I found this place.

Newly opened gym with more than adequate enough space to train. Facilities are very clean on the inside and maintained as such. Great atmosphere to learn and train in. As a beginner student I am able to learn a technique and spend the rest of the session training it into my memory. Absolutely love it and highly recommend!

This being my first Martial Art and a full contact Martial Art none the less, I was a bit apprehensive at first. I felt really welcome on my first day and the rest is history. This place does not have an intimidating atmosphere and all the students I train with have great attitudes and you quickly get along with everyone. My son had been practice JiuJitsu for more than a year in CA. When we move, my wife and I were looking for an JiuJitsu academy where he continues practicing. I don’t know where to start about our experience at Gracie Barra-Rockledge. My husband and 2 sons take classes here, all for a different purpose. My sons are very different in personality and jiu jitsu has helped them both exactly the way we were hoping, and more. Their confidence has shined since beginning their jiu jitsu journey and it has become our second home! No more complaining when it comes to practice!The structure here was important and had us hooked from day 1! Not only are my sons learning jiu jitsu techniques, but they are also being taught important life lessons. I have been a member of this club since it opened. Our instructor Alex is so thorough, helpful, patient and kind. The atmosphere is family structured and that’s a big part of what makes Gracie Barra Rockledge great for everyone to enjoy. We have become one big family. Wonderful academy with just about the best system I have ever seen. I didn't know anything about the Gracie system when I started but the way they break down the art of Jiu-Jitsu really helps to understand the fundamentals. They have a great kids program in which I have two boys in, and they absolutely love it as well. Professor Alex is great with kids and him and Lily work together to keep the atmosphere very positive and family friendly. Highly recommend.

Excellent facility and the owners are very nice. Alex, the lead instructor (or Professor), is very knowledgeable and a great teacher. In addition he is personable and works well with the children in his classes. I am in the adult class and enjoy his instruction and atmosphere. My son really enjoys his class too. There is a good family-vibe here among the members and staff.The facility is professional, clean and inviting. Highly recommended place to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu .

My 7 year old son has really started to mature and is becoming more disciplined since he started at Gracie Barra Rockledge a few months ago. He's excited about training!
