By chance, I saw someone wearing the clothes of Zhaobao Taijiquan gym. I searched for Master Peng Wen of Zhaobao Taijiquan on the Internet, and after viewing Master Peng’s YouTube videos, I was so excited that I thought I had met a famous Taiji master. ! So after participating in the free trial class, I signed up for learning.After more than a month of practice, the most obvious feeling to me is that the tense neck and shoulders, and the often painful left and right thighs are relaxed and pain-free. It's amazing!

A friend recommended Zhao Bao Tai Chi to me a few months ago. I used to think Tai Chi is slow movement and for people who can’t do strenuous exercises. After I joined the Zhao Bao Tai Chi class and started training with Master Peng, it totally changed my perspective. I am in good physical condition and fit but I was sweating after the trial class. The warm ups are very well designed to prepare you to able to do the Tai Chi forms. In only two months I have already benefited from practicing Zhao Bao Tai Chi. A few insights I want to share with people who are considering learning Zhao Bao Tai Chi.1. It is not slow yet it is not intense either. No matter what your current physical condition is, you can start practicing it. It has a balance of helping you build up your body’s core strength, coordination and flexibility at the same time.2. It helps quiet your mind. You are actually mediating while you practice because you need to use your mind to control the flow of the ‘Qi’. Your mind becomes clear and relaxed after practicing. As a plus, you learn so much Chinese philosophy from Master Peng.3. It helps you become healthier. You learn how to relax your body which it’s a lot harder than you think. It helped ease my back pain and also my sciatica. I feel overall my body is lighter and I think it is because my blood circulation becomes better. It does not hurt your knees or shoulders like the other type of exercises.4. It is fun. The Zhao Bao Tai Chi forms are beautiful. Every movement involves the ‘Yin-Yang’ and ‘Bagua’ philosophy. Some of the movements are like dancing. It’s a lot of fun practicing Zhao Bao Tai Chi than just running on a treadmill of lift those weights. Plus, you can basically practice it anytime anywhere.

Shifu Peng is very good in guiding the student through the TaiChi journey. Started my lessons almost a year back and have seen tremendous improvements in my sleep cycle alignments. The classes are generally very relaxed - starts off with simpler forms and slowly gets us moving into higher and a bit more complex forms. Participants spreads across ages - from Gen Z to Baby-Boomers - a very interesting mix.

I have been learning Zhao Bao Tai Chi from Master Peng since May 2022. He is certainly an authentic 12th generation Master in the Zhao Bao Tai Chi lineage. His Tai Chi forms are smooth, circular, effortless and so mesmerizing to watch. It is like watching water flow effortlessly.I am now slowly understanding the meaning of Chi by watching him. He is a very patient and kind teacher who takes his time to demonstrate each move as well as explain the philosophy behind it. Tai Chi as Master Peng says is both an art of promoting health as well as a very effective form of self defense. I certainly intend to continue my practice of Tai Chi and learn effective self defense techniques from him for many years to come. I highly recommend Master Peng to any adult who wants to learn authentic Zhao BaoTai Chi to promote good health and learn effective self defense techniques.

I had tried taichi class with other teachers before. None of my experiences were as good as this one. Master Peng really knows how to teach beginner, and at the same time, he can go as advance as you can imagine. Today, I just had my first beginner class with Master Peng. And I already know the first sequence. Master Peng makes the taichi easy to remember for beginner. I feel so accomplished even just the first day. I will do the long term here.

Ive been studying ZhaoBao taichi for the past half year learning the 24 forms via Master Peng. My friends have been complimenting how my waist has tightened up and butt looks bigger. I have always been on the skinnier side, so this is great news for me! It seems like the core and leg based movements have payed off in some surprising ways!

I am very grateful to find this Tai Chi place. Master Peng is very nice and patient to his students. I am impressed that he doesn’t only teach TaiChi movements but also explain the Taoism concepts behind the movements. It is very interesting! We started leaning Tai Chi from master Peng about 6 months ago. His teaching is very detailed not just in the movement but also in breathing and proper control (relax) of the body.
