Southwest YMCA

The Southwest YMCA is all right! I’m always greeted with a smile by a friendly staffer and some even know who I am. There’s lots of equipment and the place is kept decently clean. And there’s an abundance of parking. I go there because I like the people there.

My daughter spent 7 weeks in the summer day camp program and loved every minute. She made new friends and reconnected with friends from years prior.This was her 5th year attending the SW camp and is already talking about attending your camp next summer. Thank you for offering a quality, safe, and fun environment for the kids. Your staff is amazing!!!

Don’t let people know when they close pools on regular pool hours drive all the way up there 25 min from my house to say the pool was closed and the only have a sign up. No noticing on website or anything. Kids disappointed and all packed up fro nothing. Also not very polite on phone. If your pools are always changing the hours needs to be updated. Really upsetting.

It’s an ok place to get an decent workout in. They do have everything you need. However, for what they charge, I don’t understand why the hours can’t be just a little bit more comparable to Planet Fitness. At Planet Fitness, the memberships are much cheaper. It’s a little frustrating to drive there on a non holiday Saturday afternoon only to discover that they shut the place down at 4PM. During the Fall, Winter, and Spring months, I believe the facility was open until 6PM on a Saturday. So, what changed? Are we going into another unknown pandemic? Or is the majority of the staff refusing to stay due to attending the annual Summerfest in Milwaukee since it’s summer?

I love this Y! The reason I knocked it down a star is because their website isn’t always up to date, and when I inquire about programs I don’t get a reply. I have to go in person or call, then the people I get redirected to don’t respond in any way. The front desk people, however, are super kind and try their best to answer my questions.

I love this YMCA for many reasons. I have come here for 15 years. It is always clean. I know what to expect. All the machines are maintained and working properly. The pool is a nice temperature and the kids pool is warm for the lil ones. Clean locker room. Nice towels what else can I say 😀 …

Nice facility. I'm normally a regular at a different location, but this one has been more convenient as of late. Sauna and steam room are great. Staff is nice. Only thing I dislike is the track being in the machine area, but nice place

Recently joined again, after a many year hiatus from the Y. Joining process online was great, and staff are friendly and helpful.Not very crowded, throughout all areas, especially the gym, and ample space to get a workout done.Need to update the equipment in the cardio room, have more standards, with the clientele and update the space and technology, like the TV’s, and more high demand machines. Machines are covered in dust, and look like they haven’t been properly cleaned in awhile. The place was swarming with kids, like it was a daycare center, and needs more control. Could also use a reduction in tread mills and more elliptical machines, added, with screens above or separating them in the middle.Was most dissatisfied with the fact that the locker room didn’t look very clean, and had the same carpet and beat up lockers, since they made the adult male locker room, 20+ years ago, which makes me concerned about cleanliness as a whole. Excited about my return, and to explore the plethora of classes offered. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend others to join, but the price it outrageous for a treading water facility. I canceled after my first month back, and won’t be back.
