I have tried multiple times and ways to cancel my membership but they will not stop charging me. They also overcharged me for several months and no refund was issued once it was pointed out. There are unknown taxes and fees added and they refuse to give an itemized receipt of payment. Overall this place has really sketchy and I wouldn't recommend them.

Everything you need and nothing you don't. Impeccably clean, unbelievably friendly and helpful staff, really I have never belonged to a better gym!

North Loop Fitness is a place where you can do traditional fitness, but the attraction for me is the ability to do a variety of functional fitness training. You can always find people engaged in some type of fitness conversation or think-tank. There is no ego training. There are many unconventional things you can do there like flip huge tires outside, climb ropes outside or inside, push sleds on turf, use sledge hammers on tires, etc.. A bunch of us are cross-fit enthusiasts so we'll do those workouts among other things. Also anybody can jump into our group and workout with us. I"m also a martial artist, so I like that there is a muay thai kickboxing bag, things for boxing also, and sticks for filipino martial arts. Many of the group of guys and girls there are awesome, we all encourage and motivate. Plus, I found the pricing is much more reasonable the most cross-fit gyms.

NLF is not your average gym. It's not that big and it only has a few cardio machines. It's got a 10 yard wide strip of turf running down the middle of the gym where people push weighted sleds back and forth or run sprints and agility drills. It's got bumper plates and plenty of squat racks for people who like to do squats, deadlifts, and olympic lifts. It's got agility ladders, weight vests, plyo boxes, and all sorts of other stuff you won't find at an average YMCA or Snap Fitness or whatever. If you're looking for a place to do a regular workout with weights and cardio you can definitely do that here but you can also do more fun and functional workouts that you can't do at most other gyms. I work in Eagan and live in Uptown but make the trek to North Loop because it's the closest place I can do the kind of serious athletic training I'm interested in.

Rob (owner) is always there and very enthusiastic about training. Not your typical corporate fitness center - way better!
