Working out with Cory is always the best part of my day - and oftentimes the best part of my week. His training style reflects his personality: warm, energetic, non-condescending, intelligent, fun and sometimes (ok, often) silly. Cory's enthusiasm for fitness, weight training and well-being is palpable. He loves learning about these topics and sharing his knowledge with others as a coach. (Added bonus: He also recommends great books.) In 15 months of working out with Cory, I've increased my strength immensely and come to understand the importance of strength training for my overall health, well-being and mood. My goals have shifted over time and Cory is always eager to listen first, then adapt workouts to reflect what I want to focus on. He keeps my progress moving forward in ways I could not (or simply would not) do on my own. His facility is clean, outfitted with a diverse array of quality equipment, and features a lot of pink accents. (Cory loves pink. You must know this going in.) As a woman in his space, I feel safe, heard, and never talked down to or dismissed. Cory also makes an effort to seek out knowledge and best practices related to women-specific health concerns (example: loss of bone density as we age), which I really appreciate. In short: Training with Cory is rad and I truly cannot recommend him highly enough.

Cory came up with a great home gym workout plan, helped me get going and we did bi-weekly checks for a month or so to make sure I was doing things correctly and getting the most out of the workout. He is such a positive, fun, and knowledgeable trainer; I look forward to meeting up with him again when I progress into a more involved training regimen. Thanks Cory!

We’ll qualified and extremely knowledgeable. Even working together remotely he was able to provide effective feedback, fun, and encouragement to help me meet my strength training goals. Highly recommend Cory to anyone, of all skills and abilities, as he will customize your program to meet you where you’re at and take you to the next level!

Cory is the man for any level of trainee and he's got everything you need in his own private space. Whatever your fitness goal, Cory will personalize a plan that is fun and rewarding. The man is a pro, his positivity is infectious and there are laughs aplenty. And I say this as a guy who used to hate working out!!!

Cory is the bomb dot com! He is a positive instructor, funny and real. No ego in the Drogue, just good music and good form. I would highly recommend Cory to anyone looking to get stronger - both physically and mentally.

I started going to Cory because I was becoming an out-of-shape middle-aged mom and I wanted to stop the sag and feel strong again. Cory's support, kindness, and enthusiasm helped me feel comfortable working out (which is not anything I have every wanted to do before). He worked with me to create a workout plan based on my goals and challenged me in a positive way to keep progressing. He created a workout that I could do from home, which really helped my motivation, but has also offered to meet me at the gym to work with different equipment. Six months later, I feel much stronger and, although I don't always want to work out, I always feel better once I do. Cory really knows his stuff and actually makes working out fun (even though I still hate split squats). If you are thinking about getting in shape, I highly recommend Cory.

I can’t imagine a better personal trainer than Cory Engkjer. With Cory, there’s no “one size fits all.” He tailors a personal program for each client, always bearing in mind their personal interests and preferences, and after inventorying their beginning levels of capability in a spectrum of exercises and procedures. Once underway with an agreedregimen of work toward measurable objectives, Cory maintains a complete log of each client’s activities and progress, moderating the program as appropriate in personal sessions, as well as assigned homework.Cory’s studio gym is, like Cory himself, bright and cheerful, and it contains every piece of equipment necessary for fully professional workouts. You find that the atmosphere there is always happy, positive, and even joyful, dedicated to the most constructive and encouraging environment for the improvement of your body—which goes well beyond physical strength and flexibility to include an affirmative mental attitude, as well as the fundamentals of sensible nutrition and recreational habits. One notices that Cory doesn’t just talk the talk—he walks the walk, as the man with the best physique and physical development of anyone I’ve ever known. He observes the same disciplines that he advocates for us all, and is thus his own best representative.I consider the privilege of my experience working with Cory to be the single most encouraging and vitalizing weekly activity I have, in keeping me alert to the joyful possibilities of mental and physical growth and good health. And I find that the benefits of personal training with Cory Engkjer show up in a happier life for me every day. He is truly a great personal trainer.

Not only is Cory an excellent trainer, but he's a warm and caring person. I've been training with Cory for about 2 years now, and I love the results. My physical and mental health are improved each time I train at the Cory's gym, and he has created a welcoming, non-judgmental environment to improve yourself.

Cory is full of energy and humor, and he instantly becomes your friend. He has an extensive knowledge of exercises and approaches for improving strength and fitness. But lots of other trainers have that too. Cory's excellence comes down to his talent for TEACHING you how to improve, not just telling you what exercises to perform. The time I invested working out with him has given me knowledge that I'll be able to use for a lifetime.

From our very first meeting Cory made me feel comfortable and empowered that I would reach and even bypass my goals. 2 years later I look forward to every session and even ask him to find additional slots for me during the week! I enjoy referring and bringing my friends to his gym as well, and everyone has awesome feedback and wishes they too could be his client! Amazingly, Cory continues to find time in his schedule for new clients and more slots for existing clients. I’m definitely much much stronger, joint pain significantly decreased, and I’m certainly happier mentally than I was before I started his program.
