The Missoula Y is such a great place! The staff is always super helpful and friendly. The instructors bring their all to the classes and offer the proper tips and modifications for participants if needed. And the Missoula Y always seems to buzz with activity of happy clients. Wouldn't have it any other way!

This place is called the young men's christian organization? lolMy wife who is disabled and myself who is retired went to check it out and these people are not courteous. They are in my opinion not really caring about poor or disabled. I have spoken to so many who believe even with the so called lower price for low income. it is still outrageous. On their web page in big letters it says"STRONGER TOGETHERWhen you join the Y, you're joining more than a gym—you're joining a community of people dedicated to building a stronger, healthier Missoula for all."Unless you cant afford the fees. Then you are not to be a participant.UPDATE7/31/2021Horrible I'm low income not white I can't afford for my family. I was told to go elsewhere. My wife and son and I tried to join. We got lectured about how we need to pay a price that we cannot afford. they would be getting money from my Medicare provider, yet they said they would still have to charge a high price to my wife and son. My wife is disabled and on ssdi .The people there did not care about me being a minority, or my wife getting a tiny bit of money each month. they were cold, rude and in my opinion not caring about me being a non white mixed race person. yet, they get money in donations claiming they are diverse? no they are not. I did not see a single person of color at the desk or in management or even in the gym?they are getting money claiming to be diverse, i do not believe they have been professional, diverse at all. They are cold, smug, rude and looked down upon me a 67 year old man and my wife like we were childrenhere again it says"EVERYONE IS WELCOME HERESince 1967, the Missoula Y has been committed to providing healthy, affordable opportunities for all in our community. We are proud to offer financial assistance for Y membership and programs. Apply today!"The amount we were to be charged for myself, my wife and son was $720 a year. That is more than most private clubs and an amount that is not in our budget. so we are not allowed to be members in the all is welcome Y.The organization in my opinion was rude to us, did not listen or care about our financial situation at the time. Also was told my son who hasEhlers–Danlos syndromes " (a group of rare genetic connective-tissue disorders. Symptoms may include loose joints, joint pain, stretchy velvety skin, and abnormal scar formation. These can be noticed at birth or in early childhood. Complications may include aortic dissection, joint dislocations, scoliosis, chronic pain, or early osteoarthritis".) wasnt eligible for any program or be a member unless dues are paid in full at their price! In my opinion Everyone is not welcome there!

I work at the Y but not for the Y! I am everywhere and everyday see so many things that make me happy! I see Rebecca, a Y Member, helping a young woman from another country understand which classes she might want to take! I hear Bill giving words of encouragement to anyone and everyone who comes in, sometimes in song! I see groups of ladies walking with each other leaving swim class, and checking on one another outside of the Y! Dennis is everywhere giving pep talks! Maintenance is amazing hard working guys! I feel that even though I don't work for the Y, the staff is willing to listen to my opinions and suggestions to make things better! I have met so many wonderful clients and staff there! the Y makes me feel I matter, is my second family! Best job I have ever had, my only complaint is sometimes my work cuts into my social time at the Y!!!
