Referred to the gym by a friend. Overall the gym itself was a nice hard-core gym but my first impression wasn't great. Was told by multiple people that go to this gym that the first day is free yet after telling the front desk person it was my first visit I was still charged 15 dollars. Safe to say they don't treat everyone the same here.

100% the best gym in Illinois, glad it’s getting more recognition. Always love to bring people to this gym and show them what kind of environment they’re missing out on, not super pricey and always clean. Always upgrading their stuff and always willing to help anyone out

Was in Chicago for work and the dudes that run the place were super cool for getting me signed up for just one month no strings attached. Good old school iron gym, highly recommended.

This gym has and always will be the best gym in Illinois. Many great changes have taken place in the past year improving the appearance and functionality of the gym to be even better than anyone could have imagined.

Jakked Gym is exactly what you think it would be off the name. Tons of equipment, bars, weights, specialty items for all disciplines. Dumbbells up to 235lbs. I'll definitely be back to try some PRs. Good deals with daily passes and short term passes. The owner Kai looks to be building a new area.

I wanted to get back to leaving a review of this gym, as I've moved an hour away and am a former patron. This gym is absolutely amazing. If you're coming from a flashy chain gym, you might learn this gym is something of acquired taste, but once you're acclimated, there's no going back. This gym is about getting strong--not having bizarre equipment that no one ever uses. You can use chalk, you can grunt, you can lift heavy. Deadlifts, the yoke, a log press--all here. The owners--Kai and Patrick--are on site a lot, and if you become a member, this place is a lot like Cheers. When you see "powerlifting" or "strongman" and imagine a bunch of hulking dudes ready to belittle you for benching 95lbs--this couldn't be farther from the truth. I've never been around more uplifting people (staff AND members). It's not a "bro-heavy" gym; just good people with great etiquette. One time I was there and told a guy, who was doing the whole courteous look-around-and-see-if-anyone-says-anything look, "that machine is free," and he didn't hear me, just bumped my fist and said, "good to see you, brother." That's the mood of this gym. It's good to see you, brother.

Hands down best gym I’ve been to. Their membership cost is a great value, everyone is very friendly, and there’s some of the best equipment I’ve used to date. I moved an hour away but will definitely be back every so often.

Great experience! Tried out the gym with a friend of mine that was already a member there. One of the owners introduced himself to me and was very friendly and welcoming. The equipment and atmosphere is top notch and it made me want to sign up right after the workout. Great to have a place that fits my mentality when working out and it is for a great price!
