Under new management as of 3/23. This general mgr is by far the most incompetent manager in the company. As per her Linkedin profile, a new grad with a degree in psychology and zero experience running a gym nor working with paying members. There has been a very high turnover in staff since she has been there and she bans people without just cause ( in other words her staff of teens can lie and cry to her all day long and she takes what they say at face value). She oversteps by invading the personal and financial lives of paying members....... allowed a teenage employee access to my bank info.Teens talking half nude selfies/videos of themselves is commonplace simply because she allows it. No woman should be made to feel uncomfortable because another woman is taking selfies in the locker rooms. Her employees take unprofessional selfies of themselves and post them online.......one was sent to my underage daughter. I did attempt to address this issue however, I got backlash from her.Be careful. These front desk staffers are not your friends. They are young, liberal, and overstep their positions.OOOH I am so glad you responded! Talk about defamation! Your manager has have nude pics posted of herself PUBLICLY on Instagram that she shares with her underage staff. You can cry all day about how you "banned" me etc but there is no evidence to support your lies or allegations. FYI........read the constitution....

I thought that had signed up for a guest pass, but ended up signing up for a membership... that's on me, I made the mistake. My issue is once I arrived to the gym, I was unable to use a guest pass due to not living in Mt. Pleasant(I was visiting my brother-in-law). This shouldn't have been a problem due to the fact that at the time I accidentally purchased a membership therefore my address shouldn't have mattered. Instead I ended up having to also buy a 30$ day pass to workout on my last day in SC. The real kicker is that your membership has to be canceled in person. After purchasing my day I word for word asked if I needed to cancel my membership/free trial since I was unable to use and was told no that I wouldn't be charged since I never actually used it. So now after being charged surprisingly a month later I am having to write a letter to cancel a membership that could've been done in person on top of paying expr cancelation fees. Not a good experience.

The gym staff were very nice and take care of the equipment well! Everything was sanitary and I enjoyed working out there. I look forward to my next visit.

Visit the area a lot. Been coming to this gym for 4 yrs and it’s wonderful. Lots of equipment, weights, etc. Plenty of room.Lydia, runner-up for Miss South Carolina, works at the front desk!

At 8 months post double knee surgery Audra, one of the trainers, helped me quickly regain a good portion of functionality in both legs. Everyone says nice things about her. She’s incredibly skilled & critically acclaimed!

As a 20 year veteran/retiree with an Active & Fit Direct membership I made a promise to myself to stay strong and healthy. That being said, I was disappointed upon receiving the news (front desk) that I would have to pay a $10 fee per visit because of this gym’s “Select” status. It seemed reasonable until did the math (3 days a week, 4 weeks a month = $120/mo) not including the A&F membership fee. It’s a nice gym but, overall it’s pretty average when compared to others and not worth $150 a month in my opinion. Also I couldn’t find anything in my membership plan mentioning the $10 charge for Crunch “select” gyms. I’m sure I could’ve made this argument at the desk but I really just wanted to get to a gym.If you’re veteran looking for a good gym in the Charleston area. I was able to use Gold’s Gym - Mt. Pleasant it’s just as nice if not nicer and they do accept Active & Fit members no additional fees or hassle.Stay Strong & Healthy Let’s Go!!! The

Great Staff. Great Facility with plenty of space to get your full workout in. Always clean or being cleaned by staff even during peak hours. Only thing I would love to see added is a cold tub for post workout recovery.

The most rude gym staff ever. Specifically the guy with the blonde fluffy hair, I unfortunately did not catch his name. Spoke in a very condescending way and was not polite. Gym looked fine but it’s hard to enjoy that when someone talks down to you in a very negative manner.

One of the worst gyms I have been to, Trainers take little interest into making sure you actually do better. Had to move away and tried to cancel my membership ship and they will only let you cancel over by mail or in person. I have now malled them and visited them in person and either way my account has not been canceled and I continue to be billed. Do not go here, planet fitness is much better, 0/10

Mixed Feelings About Crunch FitnessReview:★★★☆☆As a long-time member of Crunch Fitness, I have mixed feelings about this gym. While the equipment and facilities are top-notch, the overall experience has been marred by overcrowding and less-than-friendly staff. To begin with, the gym and equipment are well-maintained and up-to-date. Crunch offers a variety of machines and weights that cater to different fitness levels and preferences, making it an ideal place for those who enjoy a diverse workout routine. They also provide fitness classes, which can be quite engaging and enjoyable. However, the gym has become increasingly overcrowded in recent years. It can be challenging to find available machines during peak hours, and the workout space often feels cramped. This has led to a decline in the overall workout experience, as you have to wait longer to use your preferred equipment or find a spot to exercise.Additionally, the staff at Crunch could use an improvement in their customer service skills. While they are knowledgeable about the equipment and gym facilities, their demeanor can be quite off-putting at times. A friendlier and more approachable staff would make a significant difference in creating a more welcoming atmosphere. In conclusion, Crunch Fitness is a great gym in terms of equipment and facilities, but the overcrowding issue and the not-so-friendly staff have negatively impacted my experience. It's a solid three-star gym that could easily improve to a five-star establishment with some adjustments in staff attitude and finding a solution to the overcrowding problem.
