Rafaello is an amazing coach! This is a safe environment to train in. I’ve trained with some of the best BJJ people there are, & Raf knows how to coach! The kids have lots of fun while learning confidence & staying fit.

Raf and Vanessa are responsible for a truly beautiful gym with a 100 percent positive vibe. An absolutely great place for some to start or continue their Jiu Jitsu journey. Having trained at a lot of places both in Charleston and across the world, I can say that it’s a really unique place that blends old school values of toughness and respect with new school open mindedness and value for the customer.

I can't even begin to say how AMAZING HouZn JJ Academy is!! & Just how happy we are to have found them!! HouZn doesn't just teach BJJ ..... HouZn embodies the concept that "mental and emotional states play the most significant part in one’s overall health". Which to me, is absolutely awesome! HouZn radiates positivity & hard work!! We joined the HouZn team a few months ago & we are SO HAPPY that we did. Raph & Wanessa are awesome!! Our 9 yr old son has severe ADHD & they have welcomed him w open arms. He loves it!! The whole HouZn family/team is amazing....from Raph & Wanessa to all the coaches & esp his teammates. HouZn teaches not only BJJ & techniques but also teaches that with hard work anything is possible.& On a side note ....the academy is absolutely gorgeous!! Wanessa did a fantastic job designing it!! It feels warm & inviting, not at all intimidating like some gyms can be. We highly recommend HouZn!!

Coach Rafael hosts a monthly open mat that my husband has been attending for over a year. I finally joined him today and the experience was everything I had heard about. A positive training environment, mutual respect for all athletes regardless of affiliation, and a really great time. I’m looking forward to returning! Thanks for having us!

Can't say anything but great things about this place. From the great attitude and sportsmanship from everyone there, to the expertise and knowledge from Professor Rafaello. Whether you're just starting or have been doing Jiu Jitsu for years, this is the best place in Charleston to go to. Highly recommend!
