We have had an amazing experience at Premiere Martial Arts in Mount Pleasant. Our son has been challenged to work hard to learn the stances, forms and belt testing requirements with kindness and respect, He has learned to be responsible for himself, be a leader to others, to be disciplined, and respectful to himself, his coaches and others . The coaches are tough but kind and very personable . This is not a program where everyone gets a medal for just showing up. The students are responsible for their actions as much as the parents for committing to the program and supporting the kids. This is not a tumble time program, it’s martial arts. My children are learning to be committed to themselves and their coaches, to their fellow students and their family. If you want your children to be accountable for their actions, to push themselves beyond their limits and becoming part of a community that supports mental and physical growth this is the place for you.

Small classes and great opportunities to learn in a small group. They need to get a few more coaches the one that is currently there is not good with kids doesn’t keep his word and speaks extremely harsh to some of the students . We have have tried the school for almost 7 months and enjoyed it the first couple months but then decided we need to find another one that have instructors with better character and knows how to communicate with 3 yr olds .Example my child tested for his next belt at the testing ceremony. He earned his belt and was supposed to receive his belt in class the following week we went to class today to receive his belt and he was told next time the word of the month is an Integrity. Integrity is doing what you say you’re going to do and keeping your word. The coach did not keep his word, and I had a very upset little boy to deal with for the next couple weeks until he gets his new belt. There is no excuse for this. There is also no excuse to yell at a child for touching the glass door and telling the child that you need to put a sign on the door …..three year olds cannot read. Steer clear if you have young children that can’t speak up for themselves against the bully instructor

Highly recommend PMA of North Mount Pleasant! My son found something that he is passionate about and looks forward to going every week. The owner and coaches are all exceptional and great with the kids. PMA also hosts birthday parties where your child is an honorary black belt for the day, breaks a board, and cuts the cake with a real sword - my son absolutely loved his martial arts party!
