I personally can say nothing but good things about how sincerely the instructors express their care about the development of not only me but all the other practitioners from what I’ve experienced in the 3+ months of my attendance.I had previously trained consecutively in another style of martial arts for 7 years until I started to attend the S .Church Street location. For numerous reasons I decided to explore other schools of martial arts which was a difficult decision to make since I valued my time and effort to reach a level of 1st Dan (1st degree black belt).I wanted to find a school where I could not only continue to grow but also see my son eventually training with me in a clean, organized, disciplined and challenging environment. I’m glad that I reached out to Mr.Taylor and scheduled an introductory class with Mr. Oceguera.Nervous but determined to continue martial arts I kept a beginner’s mind and was very impressed by the professionalism demonstrated and how welcoming all the instructors were in my first few classes and still continue to be. I never felt egotism of superiority or complete disregard to my previous knowledge and hard work from the instructors. It’s literally is like learning a new language so I try to hold myself to those same standards of humbleness and perseverance, using my previous experience as an opportunity to expand and challenge myself!As a person that can attest to the many positive personal growth attributes martial arts has brought into my life and seen in others. I have confidence now that as long as I (or you) have a good attitude and continue to put in the required share of intentional hard work then Bill Taylor’s Bushido School of Karate will be there for me!
