Before my son, who is 8, started at Victory Martial Arts he was a total couch potato and video game addict. During summer vacation he would stay inside and not want to play with friends. He was shy, quiet and never one to want any attention thrown his way. He tried a few sports before but grew frustrated when having to learn something new and would quit no matter how much encouragement he received. By chance I found Victory Martial Arts just blocks from our house. I talked to my son and he said he would try MMA. He started May of this year, 2012.When he first walked into the dojo you could tell he was overwhelmed. New faces and not knowing what to do is intimidating for a shy child but right away he was greeted by a Sensei who shook his hand, introduced himself and proceeded to show him around the dojo and introduce him to fellow team mates. He was focused and tried his best the first day. The car ride home that first night was a quiet one. My son is a thinker by nature and you could tell he was processing everything he learned that night. He leaned over and told me “mom, when do I go back?” I was thrilled because finally he found his fit and was extremely excited to go back. This excitement never faded, it grew! The one thing he always wanted was a trophy. He would see his friends and knew it took a lot of work to get one. He would get very disappointed with himself because he never stayed with a team long enough earn one. I told him one day he would get his own and that day came when he received his first belt. When Sensei called him to step in front of the class he wasn’t sure what was going to happen. When he was presented with his first belt you could see a change in him. A confidence I’ve never seen beamed through him. That night as I was leaving his room after saying goodnight he said “I did it mom, I got my trophy” and clutched his belt. He was so proud of himself and had to show everyone he could his new belt. He even slept in it for two weeks.6 months later, one belt rank higher and on his way to the next rank, there have been many positive changes in him. He is more respectful, focused on tasks at hand, participates in school in group settings and does things on his own when before he would need to be told. I contribute these positive changes to his Sensei’s, student teachers and fellow team mates who do not allow him to fall back into his comfort zone and watch from the sideline but instead everyone is always pushing him to be better, giving him encouragement, strength and confidence to face anything. He walks with his head held a little higher and runs to the mats on the days he has class ready to go. He is eager to learn and advance. He strives to make his Sensei’s proud and his fellow team mates proud as well. He is not the same little man who walked into the dojo in May. The changes I’ve seen are remarkable and it’s because of his Victory family.

I have been attending classes here for the last month. Not only are the instructors extremely helpful, but everyone here seems to have my best interests in mind. The workouts are incredible, the other students are friendly, and I have learned a great deal in my short time here.Highly recommended for anyone interested in the sport, anyone looking for a good workout, anyone who wants to learn to fight, or anyone just looking to try something new.Oh, and the first two weeks are completely free. No bogus contracts.

My almost 9 year old son has been attending Victory for about 3 months now. He loves it. When we first joined we where welcomed by everyone. I got to know many of the parents while my son got to know all of the kids. I look forward to Monday nights as much as my son does.Adam is an amazing Sensei, Coach, Trainer, Motivator, and Friend to the kids and parents. My son looks up to him and has another great man to learn to emulate. Adam has taken time out to talk with my son on the side when he is having a hard time at school or just needs help on a technique. Victory is much more then an MMA gym, it is a family. I have been impressed with every trainer at that gym. They are great with the kids.Watching my son train got me interested so I tried the adult session on Mondays. If you are looking for a FUN, and great workout this is the place to be! Everyone is so nice, helpful, and welcoming. Woman and men are both welcomed the same way!If you are even considering coming, try the 2 week trial for free! You will not regret it!

I have been attending Victory Martial Arts for about a year and a half now and I enjoy it very much. The environment encourages everyone to succeed and I haven't encountered any egos or preordained cliques that discouraged me from my previous dojo. I would recommend Victory to people of all ages. I look forward to continuing to exceed my expectations with the help of my teammates and instructors at this top notch academy.Steve Sherman

If you're looking to get in better shape, become more confident with yourself, study mixed martial arts, and make alot of new friends, this academy is for you. I've been training here for about a year and a half now and from day one I knew this place was different than other martial arts academies. I had absolutely no MMA experience going in and everybody made me feel welcome and comfortable. Victory MMA has made a huge impact on my life. I've made many friends and I've become a better person mentally as well physically. The training is intense and the instructors are phenomenal. Sensei Grisko is truly a great person and an excellent instructor. Whether you have years of mma experience or want to try it for the first time, definitely give this place a try. Go Victory Family!

At Victory Martial Arts in Naperville you can tell that the teachers are genuinely invested in you--the instructors actually care. That made a big difference for me when selecting an MMA school. The culture in this dojo is very special. You can describe it as a family, but it is more than that. What is special about Victory is that its students are not only there to learn, but also to contribute to the success of others. I have been training consistently for 5 months at Victory alongside fighters experienced in the cage and other novices like myself. I feel I have quickly improved in strength, body composition, skill and flexibility. These improvements are a testament not only to the high quality of instruction, but also to the culture and fellow students I train along side with. I could not keep this experience to myself--I signed up my 6 year boy in the kids MMA class (I am looking forward to enrolling my other boy when he becomes old enough). The kids MMA class is more than learning mixed martial arts--it is also about learning to become better people. The instructors keep each child engaged throughout the class. Learning to 'focus' is key; something that I found lacking in the kids programs at other local Karate and Tae Kwon Do schools. If you or your child is looking for a martial arts school, I strongly recommend giving Victory Martial Arts in Naperville a shot. They offer a no pressure 2-week free trial and the school is very affordable.

I reccomend Victory Martial Arts In Naperville because... the moment I walked through the door I felt welcomed. The students are so friendly and the instructors are genuinely interested in helping me acheive my goals. As I was told over the phone, they are the "Victory Family" and I am privileged to now be apart of it. I am grateful for the weight I have lost, for the new friends I have made, and love taking class. I am improving my knowledge and skills every time I walk into the doors.*** I wish I had the opportunity to take the kids class when I was younger! :)

I recommend Victory Martial Arts Naperville because it builds relationships through encouragement and trust. It’s these RELATIONSHIPS that set this place apart from others. The Instructors and students welcome you with open arms. Day one of the Academy you will hit the ground running without feeling behind or left out. Yes, you will get into great physical shape. Yes, you will learn how to defend yourself. However, it is because of these special relationships that I recommend Victory Martial Arts Naperville.

Victory is more than just a place to get a workout and learn. The owner of the Naperville location cares about each and every one of the students that walks through the door. When you sign up with Victory, you join a unique family that will always go out of the way to slow something down if you don't understand, and includes you no matter what level of training you are at. The Naperville instructors have a lot of experience, but go out of the way to make sure that nobody is put down, nobody is left behind, and that is why I will stay with Victory.
