The gym itself is nice, they had all the equipment I like in a gym and plenty of turf which I like b/c I do a lot of PT but the atmosphere of the place kinda killed it for me, felt like I was in highschool again rather than in an actual gym. People stare at you weird if you are working out hard. Felt like I was the only one actually working out, just not my kind of crowd. Kind of a yuppy gym/hang out spot and overcrowded, not really for the serious minded who just wanna work out, and that's ok if that's what your into, it's just not for me. Also $40 bucks a month and you can't bring a guest when every other gym is charging the same or less and you can bring guest, and the sanitary wipes were almost always empty. Also plates and kettle bells where always all over the place, I can understand if people don't put stuff back but I would sometimes tidy up the areas b/c employees would rarely do it. If you go here I recommend going early in the morning rather than later or just go to PowerHouse gym which is more for the serious minded.

I've been a member here for a few years. The gym is decent. There really aren't any other options in the area. The biggest problem with this gym is cleanliness. When you go to a gym you want a place that is clean. I never see staff members cleaning here. If you go to planet fitness they are usually spotless. At In Shape, they are usually out of soap, there's no wipes to wipe the machines, hand sanitizers are empty. Locker room smells horrible most of the time.Machines, weights and workout equipment are basic, they should look into upgrading some of those. There just aren't a lot of options. Price of membership went up and the gym is usually overcrowded.

Decent select of machines and equipment for the price, but they were difficult when I wanted to pause my membership due to COVID-19, and which is a service that should have been available

Buyers beware. Price of membership constantly goes up but the gym quality stays the same… There are a total of 5 power racks in the whole gym, (1 without a mirror). Unfortunately the gym is full of useless and broken equipment. I have been very patient with this gym but seeing things such as weights being left all over the place have really made me lose faith in this gym. There are workers constantly walking around looking for new personal training clients, but never have I seen them try to tidy up the gym and make it a good environment. The worst part is that the owner is not really interested in fixing any of this… anyone that goes to this gym knows that the owner has done countless sketchy business practices and will continue to get as much money as possible out of people. This gym is a cash grab and I suggest you don’t fall for it. The only way this gym is better than planet fitness is the fact that there are power racks. I’m sorry but this gym has just gotten so much worse over the years and the monthly fee increase just pushed me over the edge. Not saying you can’t get a good workout in but the environment is not the best to say the least. Also the locker rooms smells horrific.

My wife used to go here. We went back for a tour together, but both easily agreed to pass. The tour guide was shocked we said no and left. He wanted a full month of payment for half month left. No discount. He pushed for extra $45 sign up fee as well, when it wasn't required (huge sign out front says no sign-up fee). My wife used to pay $20, now it's it's $40. No discount for returning member either? No thank you.

Extremely disappointed with this place. I’ve been sick on and off and haven’t been able to go use the gym and I’m moving as well. I go to cancel my membership and I was told since I’ve singed a contract I have to pay for the whole year. Unless I prove to them it’s 25 miles away that’s the only way I can cancel it without any fees. So until I give them proof I’m 25 miles away I have to continue to pay for something I can’t use. Absolutely ridiculous.

10 years ago I canceled because my Dad was I'll and. Had to move to care for him. These people lost my verifying mail so now I move back, try to rejoin, and they want $150 in late fees - 10 years later! Rip off artists. Wouldn't go back if they let me in for free now.

Great place. Space, equipment and staff are top notch. I have been a member for about 20 years and recommend the gym to many. I hear the same feed back from all, "the weekend hours are to short". When I joined they had limited weekend hours only in the summer, maybe extend hous Sat and Sun again.

Masks are required inside (obviously), but the staff and members keep the facilities very clean and neat. Wide selection of classes available from beginners to advanced. Great free weight area where the members actually clean up after themselves! Such a nice change of pace from some of the lazy slobs at some other gyms. Very welcoming. Always able to get assistance if needed. Highly recommend this gym.
