I’ve been an on again/ off again member at this location since about 2008. Recently joined again in 2023 after moving back to NOLA, and was pretty disappointed to see it looks exactly the same, just significantly more worn down. Definitely feels outdated and unclean. And I’ve noticed the weird smell that other reviews have mentioned. It’s very off putting.Staff has been fine from what I’ve seen, but there’s little they can do to counteract the fact that this location is in desperate need of an overhaul.

Nope. No Variety. Hahaha and I LOVE Everyone’s Review! ESPECIALLY Mr. Nguyen! Brilliant! Even the Owner Admits there Trash! Equipment. Bench press is a Death Trap. Lacks Basic incremental weights. Lacking it All! ONE stationary Bicycle with back rest. ONE. Like that’s my Jam. I just Can’t. Place is Incompetent to Customer Service.

Under new ownership. Car jacking in the parking Lot recently. Very limited equipment, my wife hates how it smells. I could list dozens of problems, however it’s open 24 hr and 3 min from my house. The Canal St location is super nice. Today they built this strange “outhouse looking” room in the middle of the free weight area. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️😢🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ The local lady’s who run the gym day to day are very nice, but they have limited resources from the higher up’s.

Left this gym due to constant pestering to do a “fitness consultation” with them. Emails, texts, calls and even approaching me during my workouts to do one. One woman (I think the owner/manager?) was straight up abhorrent about it.She told me she wanted to be sure I was reaching my goals. Apparently to her, I wasn’t showing enough improvement after coming in regularly for months. I mean, I wasn’t losing weight, so I guess she gave herself permission to comment on my body that was evidently not improving. I'm assuming she meant because I wasn't losing weight.I’m disabled. It might shock some people to know that not everyone is exercising to lose weight/have an acceptable looking body. Exercising regularly IS my goal. Apparently that’s not good enough for her or this was some weird manipulation to try and up-sell me something. It felt like an attempt to body shame me into buying something.Disabled folks are accustom to some level of able-ism everywhere, but I can’t imagine anyone in the world wanting to be sold something while they’re working out. And then again via email, text and phone. And then feeling like someone is watching you in the gym to "make sure you're progressing".Super gross and invasive. I joined a gym, not hired someone to nag and shame me. It’s vulnerable enough being in the gym. Just leave me alone. It was bizarre, off-putting and I feel much safer and better going to the Canal St and Bywater locations. I go in, workout, and leave. Seems simple, right?I’m leaving this review as anonymously as possible because I wouldn’t be surprised if this lady tried to reach out AGAIN about the consultation or to get me to amend this review.

Mid, I’d like to say I’m a connoisseur of anytime fitness gyms as I have been to quite a few across these 50 United States. This one was a hard no after a few attempts at a good leg pump tonight. Most of the equipment Is dilapidated and archaic especially the leg machines and squat racks. The water from the fountain tasted like ethanol but I’ll put that blame on the city. The low ceilings gave me a a fight club vibe and I will say the lighting was pretty good but the full body mirror in the male shower has horrible lighting preventing me from mirin my non-existent leg pump. The poster board which is intended to be plastered with motivating quotes and local business ads was empty, do better.

I workout here for locational convenience. Staff is friendly. Weekends are good because it’s empty. Limited space in the weight room and on busy week nights that’s frustrating. There’s a diarrhea smell some days that stays in the entire gym, along with a guy who brings his 2 year old child to roam around while everyone is trying to workout. 🙃

The first gym in Lakeview after Katrina. Friendly staff and solid free WiFi. I only wish they had Concept 2 row machines. Update 1/2/2022 they have a Concept 2 row machine.

Great gym with everything you need for a total workout. Lots of Nautilus machines, bikes, ellipticals, and free weights if you really feel like hitting it. Plenty of area to stretch and yoga matts are available. Great wifi so I can catch up on all my podcast while I break a sweat. And a fair price!
