Air Base Fitness & Sports Center offers a comprehensive range of fitness options at 205 W Hill Blvd, Joint Base Charleston. The gym includes racquetball and basketball courts, a large cardio section, and ample free weight lifts. The functional fitness room is well-equipped, offering a great alternative for those driving from afar. Despite aging, the facility remains clean and is serviced regularly; however, early visits are recommended to avoid peak hours.
Improvements are underway for workout equipment, but current issues with 24-hour access and aged equipment do arise. The locker rooms need attention, and water heating is slow. The center provides various free classes, making this a valuable option for military ID holders or key-holders needing off-hour access.

- Helpful staff attempts to maintain the facility.
- Convenient alternative to off-base gyms.

- Aged equipment in some areas.
- Issues with 24-hour access.

Non duty hours there's no check in place to ensure only authorized personnel are using the facility. It posses a safety and security issue. I see it every time I'm in the facility. Otherwise it's a 5star facility.

Lots of selection. They have a racquetball and a basketball court, which I use often, and are kept in great shape. The cardio section is large and they have a huge open room in the back for tons of free weight lifts.

Functional fitness room is very well-equipped. Great alternative to driving the 45 mins to and from an off-base crossfit gym in the local traffic.

The gym is working on new workout equipment contracts because a lot of it's equipment is aged and over used. Aside from having a lot of business, it has a large amount of machines, aerobic options, and weight racks. It is best to go during non peak hours if you want to finish a full training plan in a reasonable amount of time.

Totally doesn't have everything you need to work out every muscle in your ENTIRE body. Definitely don't tell your buddies that they should go here to get RIPPED, because it totally won't happen. I'm joking. This place is sick. Have fun. Get yolked 💪 …

If you're looking for a Nellis type gym this ain't it.It appears far bigger than it is and has been furnished to try and modernize. There is a good amount of equipment in decent condition, they have functional trainingequipment as well as a dedicated cardio room and free weight room (with the usual commercial equipment that is average).Biggest con is the 24hr access which hasn't worked for me 3 times now and this is mighty frustrating when you show up on a day when there is no staff.

Most of the equipment is broken. Poorly maintained. A woman walks around all day sweeping half heartedly. Someone needs to scrub bathroom floor and tile, the same dust has been in the corners for years. I've been to McDill and it's superior, everything was modern clean and every machine worked.

Great gym. Great equipment. Equipment seems to be in good shape, kept up, serviced. Not crowded at 5:30pm. Free classes are available. Could not find anyone to help with unfamiliar equipment. Get a 24 hour pass, if you need one. The locker room is ok. Lots of lights out. If you want to take a shower, turn the water on long before you are ready. Very slow to get hot. Lockers available for day use only. So bring your own lock.

Love this place! 24 hours access after closing with military ID or key. Mini sauna fits 4 people. Building is old showers are not so great! But guys who work there do their best to maintain it.
