Coach Vince is the best and he practices what he preaches. Right amount of discipline to fun, he's a master of multiple martial arts and combines them with well studied history and continual self improvement. Our son started in Northern Shaolin at age six and has moved into embracing mudukkwan taekwondo - he's now thirteen and going strong. Both of these are more gritty, practical, fighting techniques with none of the bells and whistles, acrobatics, and strip-mall show of other schools. He includes great cross training, encourages well-rounded fitness, and promotes real ownership over one's own progress and development. We'd be hard pressed to go anywhere else.

When I started training with Coach Vince, I was nervous, self conscious and looking for any excuse to quit. Coach Vince put me at ease and broke everything down into easily digestible steps, making fitness a fun and integral part of my life. Much gratitude to you, Coach Vince!

Vince is a great instructor that is knowledgeable and has years of experience with his craft. He works with any experience level and is able to break down moves and adjust for your level. I can’t recommend enough

NorCal KBX is a great place for all levels of experience. I really appreciated Coach Vince teaching me other forms. Originally, I was only kickboxing, but I enjoyed the Tae Kwon Do drills. TDK was something I would never have done if it wasn't for Coach Vince. The meditation is also a key part (to me) in training, because there's a reason why we're fighting in the first place.

I was Vince’s student for almost 5 years. Having him as my coach and creating community with the other budding martial artists he attracts was one of the best experiences of my life. He fosters a community that is welcoming to all experience levels and creates a curriculum that fuses modern & traditional disciplines - kickboxing, boxing, TKD, kung fu, tai chi . . . the list goes on. Do yourself a favor and take a class or book a personal session. You won’t regret it.

Vince loves what he does, and it shows. Whether you want to learn a variety of martial arts, or get damn good at a specific one (especially kickboxing), Vince is the guy to learn from. Plus, his crew is a fun bunch.

Vince is great! I had little to no experience when I started the class and he took the time to make sure I was getting the basics down and learning proper technique. On top of everything he is just a solid human being.I would highly recommend this gym for people of all skill levels.

NorCal KBX is a truly supportive and open martial arts school. Coach Vince is an exceptional teacher for beginners and advanced alike. On the mats, everyone was treated as equals and of the same team. For someone looking to get started or to continue their training, NorCal KBX is an excellent school to be a part of.
