Coach Vince is a great instructor and is accepting of all skill levels. Highly recommend especially if you've always wanted to get into boxing or kickboxing but have been intimidated. Whether you've never thrown a punch or kick or have been doing it for years you'll pick up something.

Vince is in amazing teacher who will meet you where you are at your ability, whether you're picking up gloves for the first time or training for a fight. Vince breaks down key skills in close detail and works with students on an individual level where they need to improve. The classes focus on martial arts skills (as compared to fitness fighting-inspired classes). There is a great and supportive community here. I look forward to my classes here every time.

Coach Bince is the best coach ever! Some people go to classes for the exercise. I enjoy the exercise aspect, but learning the fundamentals and technique is much more important for me. Coach Vince is able to adapt his teaching style and needs to accommodate what you are looking for and he has a wealth of knowledge. I’d recommend him for any level from beginner to advanced

I’ve always had a blast training with Vince! He coached us during Striking Class at the Gym fine tuning everyone’s strikes which I truly appreciated! Then joined his sparring class and acquired some more skills while fully enjoying more fine tuning of learned skills. And also had some personal training which he always kept fresh by teaching new moves and always fine tuning my practice. Vince always made class so fun and enjoyable and I always looked forward to learning more from him. He also trained my daughter for a while and she always had so much fun and always looked forward to his class. Wishing he was still on my side of the Bay!

I’ve been training with Vince for about 8 years. He is truly passionate about martial arts and that shows through his dedication and devotion to the practice and his students. When I first joined I was self conscious whether a short overweight woman could do it. He made me feel comfortable and welcome in the classes. He was patient, great at explaining, and demonstrating new techniques. I became hooked and lost nearly 30 pounds training with him. After three years of training I ended fighting in my first match; I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher and mentor. I would highly recommend anyone, new or experienced to train with him.

Coach Vince is a knowledgeable and very experienced instructor, who makes every class enjoyable and informative. I joined his boxing class a few months ago, and I have improved expontentially and gained confidence in that time. Coach Vince is patient and attentive to his students and accommodating to all skill levels. I look forward to his classes because not only do I learn a lot, but I have fun as well. I highly recommend NorCal KBX.

My daughter has been training with Coach Vince for almost 5 years now. Whether in-person or virtual, her taekwondo class has been a source of joy, learning and growth in her life. Coach Vince does great job of instilling traditional aspects of Taekwondo into his classes, as well as tending to the present times and the youth in front of him. We will continue to train with Coach Vince!

Vince is great! If you are interested in improving your skills and learning proper techniques, he is the coach for you! I've taken a couple of his group classes, and semi-privates for about 1.5 years. As a complete beginner when I started with him, he was great at making the learning process fun and accessible and its very cool to be working on new, more advanced (at least for me!) skills now. If you are willing to put in the time, Vince will take you far! It's very clear he loves what he does and he's great working with all levels and ages.

Norcal KBX is one of the more surprising investments in my health I've made. Surprising, because I signed up for boxing courses, expecting to be taught boxing. And I was! But I also picked up some kickboxing, I also had some Sanshou thrown in, not to mention Taekwondo. The information you get from Coach Vince is an unfiltered reflection of his vast knowledge across the _spectrum_ of martial arts and self-defense. You don't get a half-considered generalist perspective, each tidbit of cross-discipline information comes as a _synthesis_ of that greater study. He's truly invested in helping people not just become better boxers, or kickboxers, or practitioners of any single discipline. Coach Vince truly wants to help people become better martial artists, and where I expected to find option paralysis, I now see inspiration. You really can't help but learn when you're at Norcal KBX.

During my last decade of training in martial arts, Coach Vince has been one of my favorites. His experience with traditional and non-traditional styles give his students a diverse pool of techniques to learn from that can really encourage creativity and adaptability in their execution. I’ve been to several kickboxing gyms and they often teach the same predictable techniques across all of them. Fun and technical, Vince is a fantastic coach and I would 100% recommend him to anyone in all age ranges.
