I trained with Eduardo for over 10 years, from white belt to black belt. My journey training under him improved my life in just about every way you could imagine: health and fitness, self-confidence, emotional regulation and overall sense of well-being, motivation... and on and on. There is no way I could sufficiently explain how much training at this gym forced me to grow. Please, if you are on the fence, or have been curious about jiu-jitsu for some time, take this as the sign you were waiting for. You must do yourself the favor of training here!

My coworker (3yrs training, blue belt) and I (13yrs training, black belt) were in Oakland for work for a week and decided to see if there was a spot nearby where we could train in the evenings. Professor Eduardo was probably the friendliest gym owner I've ever done this with. He and the other teachers and students were extremely gracious and welcoming.The warm ups were challenging and thorough, with extensive stretching. The techniques were classic and solid, with good detail and logical iterative variation. Positional drilling followed, and then extensive rolling. Everyone was technical, polite, and controlled while rolling, while keeping up good pressure and pace. No one was trying to rip your head off. Nobody had an ego.6/5 stars! Exactly the environment all gyms should strive to be fostering. An absolute pleasure.PS: Challenging black belts!

I was visiting San Francisco and decided to look for a school there. I found the school or Eduardo Rocha a 5th degree blackbelt and long member of Ribeiro Jiu-Jitsu. I attended a class and booked a private class. Had great help with my guard passing game and using the right pressure and mobility. I can advise anybody to go visit this school, Eduardo is a real fun and respectful guy and he has been doing bjj for an eternity both in the states as well as in Brazil. Thanks for having me!

I thoroughly researched Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training centers in the East Bay and Ribeiro came out on top for me. Eduardo is trained by the best, is a repeat Master World Champion, and is directly involved in the training. I have taken a number of private lessons and the instruction is excellent, clear, precise, and fun. I highly recommend it. It's pretty amazing to be this lucky to have this level of access in Oakland -- very fortunate.

The instructors and students at Rocha Jiu Jitsu are all friendly and courteous. I personally am not gifted in jiu jitsu or grappling by any measure, so it was great that the instructors were very helpful when I wasn't getting it. I think the fundamentals class in particular is exactly the type of class that every white belt should be taking. Overall, great place to train.
