Ballast CrossFit

I’ve been here for about two years and felt like family since day one! The community is awesome and all of the coaches have great information.

Huge shout out to Ballast Crossfit for having me last week during a work trip. Coaches Zach and Chris (also met Franny who was taking class) were awesome, super accommodating, and did great jobs with all the classes. Worked out 4 out of the 5 days I was on deck and felt some awesome vibes from the membership. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, even at 6am! Definitely a great drop-in box and if I lived in the area, would 100% be a member. Having done Crossfit for almost 10 years, coached, and visited many other boxes, this one ranks at the top! Have fun with the Open this week!

Having done crossfit for 8 years, i've been to a lot of boxes and have experienced all kinds of coaching and programming. And Zach is one of the BEST out there, hands down. Not only is his attitude great (super caring and encouraging) but the community as a whole is supportive and welcoming. After trying a few other places in Oceanside, I landed at Ballast and have no plans to go anywhere else! Ballast Crossfit has everything you need to hit your goals and gains: great programming, great coaching, great community. Get in here and get some!

Visited here twice. Female instructor both times was great but felt very cramped and closed in. Constantly having to wait on others to finish their work out before I could move on to my next set. Equipment was outdated and gym had no chalk.

Ballast is such a great box! Zach and his other coaches are very welcoming and informative! It is a great atmosphere and you always feel at home! I would recommend Ballast CrossFit to anyone!

We love Ballast! Everyone is so friendly and willing to help when you need it. Zach and Andrew have a great wealth of knowledge when it comes to movements, aftercare, and recovery if your injured. Coach Jamie is also great, she has a great way with explaining and demonstarting harder gymnastics type movements for me that I really appreciate, plus she will support you all the way. We were so lucky to find this gym and glad to now call it our new box.

Ballast is one of the best Crossfit's in the area! Zach and his team are truly dedicated to coaching, fitness and making sure all of his athletes are part of a family! It's a great environment and great is you've never done crossfit! Absolutely Love this place, must go if you're looking to try crossfit, or if you are dropping in!
