24 Hour Fitness

Stay away from this place, just personal opinion, others may love it there, or at any one of their gyms. Not many other locations are much better but this off Frazee is an absolute nightmare. The girls at front desk are cold and the place is filthy. The women members bullied me and the people are so counterintuitive it's unsafe. Just a warning. There are better gyms, in uncountable ways. I ended my membership, had enough of trouble and unsanitary conditions. One woman actually almost struck me on purpose with her locker, no apology at all. I could say a lot of other things in regards to this location but will refrain. Use your imagination. Worst case scenario. Again, someone else may give 5 stars.

I really enjoy this gym. It's clean, staff and *most* members are kind, and there's enough equipment to diversify or supplement your workout.Unfortunately, this morning I was made to feel soooo uncomfortable.I was wrapped in a towel in the woman's locker room getting ready for work, after my workout and shower. I saw another woman taking photos (in the locker room), I asked her to stop because she was making me uncomfortable. She refused.I went to the front desk staff to ask how they enforce the rule of no photography in the locker rooms... here's where my concern is. The front desk staff said that, "it's a grey area... they have no way to enforce this rule... I need to do my best conflict resolution when I see this woman."I'm FLOORED!!! How does a corporation not have a protocol in place for this type of invasive and inappropriate behavior? I'm so grossed out by the lack of an appropriate response.I will be reaching out to management, during business hours... but for now, I'm leaving a review. I will update when I receive a response.

On November 19, 2023 between the hours 0900 and 0930, I utilized my gym membership that I just recently signed up for in the 2nd week of November. From the get-go of becoming a new member, the bathroom quality has been very poor. When trying to utilize the gym stall toilets, there is always human feces on the floor or a huge trail of ants coming out of the walls. When I attempt to use the gym bathroom sinks, most either don't work or are filled with human hair/pubic hair. When using the air dryers, there is human pubic hair on the walls so you cannot even dry your hands or get pubic hair blown onto you. When attempting to walk to the showers, you have to avoid constant mildew on the floors. When utilizing the showers, there is a high distinct smell of mildew combined with human urine and human feces.I tried to give the benefit of the doubt, hoping the quality of cleanliness would become better as the week went on, but it just seemed to get worse.These photos were taken on 11/19/23 in the morning between 0900-0930 hours as I attempted to take a shower. This is an extreme health hazard and a complete lack of hospitality for gym members.With the such high volume of traffic entering the gym at this Oceanside location, I don't see why not a cleaning crew should be handling these matters on a daily basis.

It's a decent gym that's actually open 24 hours. 6 squat racks which is nice but some of them are facing each other so not that desirable.Late night 9pm+ hours seem to be really chill. There's always that group of guys that huddle around filled with testosterone so it can get a bit awkward when they start going shirtless lol....I actually don't know how busy this gym gets during the day but these late night hours seem to be really nice and empty most of the time.

Love this place and so happy they fixed the pool area.

I did a very positive review on this 24 Hour 5 years ago. In my opinion, things have very much changed. The club does not seem to care any more about keeping the place well maintained and things working.Example 1. Yesterday, one of the men's urinals was out of service. Is is common for 1 or both to be shut down.Example 2 - Months ago they reduced the number of locations where they had paper towel dispensers and disinfectant spray bottles. I thought "OK", as long as they kept the remaining ones stocked and working. Yesterday, the only paper dispenser near the aerobic machines was out of paper. I pointed it out to the front desk. I told me where another was; it was almost out of paper and the spray disinfectant did not work correctly. After working out, I went to the close one. It was full of paper, but the spray bottle did not work at all.Lots of examples of poor maintenance and uncaring employees.This is the end of my new edit of this review.This is one of the best 24 Hour Fitness' that I have been to. It is not new or fancy, but plenty of space and machines, always clean and paper towel dispensers are full, and machines are well maintained.

This is the dirtiest gym that I've ever been to. The locker room showers are disgusting, people leave wet clothes on the ground, the Steam Room is broken half of the time, the Sauna is absolutely squalid, it's way overcrowded, and the staff in the front basically plays with their mobile device instead of solving the filth problems. Nobody enforces the shoes policy for the Steam Room and Sauna, thus contributing to said filth. Wear flip flops people!

I have belonged to 24 hr fitness since the 90s. I quit during Covid and came back to the Oceanside club without doing a walkthrough. It is disgusting! I mean forget Covid, I’m afraid of picking up Anthrax from this place! There is literally mold and dirt everywhere! See pictures.

Where is the listing of your class schedules?

Everytime I go to this location the steam sauna never works and is dirty. No steam at all.
