TL;DR: mediocre gym with okay variety of equipment and classes but always crowded with poor customer service. We've been members for years and pay an affordable rate as a result (so I try to temper my expectations). This is meant to help folks considering signing up now that they've increased their rates significantly.Equipment:We do weightlifting, cardio, and yoga classes several times a week. We try to come at off hours (around 6am) to avoid crowds), but it's always crowded and a gamble if you'll be able to access the equipment you need. Some of it is in bad shape with ripped grips, loose pads, fraying rope handles, etc. that can take a long time to fix. Dumbbell sizes between 5-20lbs can be hard to find. Not enough of the popular machines. There are a limited number of weight lifting platforms, but clueless/selfish people hog them to do non-weightlifting exercises that could be done ANYWHERE else in the gym or outside and don't need a platform, further limiting available platforms.Staff:Occasionally Eos sends out emails asking for customer feedback. My husband (the more serious weight lifter of the two of us) has written in with this feedback several times and EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. he gets a dismissive, mansplaining response from the manager that we come at "peak times" when equipment is limited and we should try coming at off hours. When is that exactly? 2am?The front desk staff mostly ignore you because they're to busy chatting with each other or staring down at their phones (there's one dude in particular who is a champion at this-it's unreal; although someone must've noticed and said something because he took a 180 recently and has started acknowledging people occasionally). Thhere is ONE regular staffet who is always attentive and welcoming with a greeting or good bye; he is the exception and deserves a medal.Classes:I love one of the yoga instructors and those classes are why I keep my membership and come 3 times a week. Be warned it is common for randos to stand at the glass doors and oogle awkwardly. One time a middle aged white man loudly interrupted savasana by yelling "WHAT IS THIS, A SLEEPING CLASS?!"Unfortunately the weightlifting platforms are also directly on the other side of the wall to the studio. This might not be a problem for classes blasting music, but anything short of a 1000 decibel concert will be interrupted by slamming weights on the other side of the wall. I've attended these classes for years (I also weight lift). I know the sound of weights being dropped. They clank, shake the floor, and jolt you out of the zone in class, but I've come to expect that.Today, someone was dropping the weights at what sounded like a dangerous height and distance - to the point that I was afraid someone would hurt themselves, I've never heard it so loud in my life. The walls shook and the instructor was inaudible over the clanging; after 10 minutes of this, I left the class (noticing on my way that several folks had stopped their workout to look for the impossibly loud noise) and walked to the front desk to ask if there was any supervision or enforcement of the "no slamming weights" policy clearly printed on signs around the gym because I literally could not hear the instructor and anyone slamming a bar down that loudly is probably using more weight than they can safely handle. I was met by what looked like the adult child of Fred Durst and Grumpy (of the seven dwarves) with a long, beaded chin beard. He immediately dismissed my concerns and mansplained ad-nauseum "those are bumper plates, they're made to do that." No offer to check it out for the person's safety, no acknowledgement that it was disruptive to classes, no empathy or understanding or customer service to speak of.Apparently the "no slamming weights" signs don't apply, just like the rest of the signs that some folks ignore here (like no filming, wipe down machines, put equipment back, etc).

I was working out without wearing a shirt. There were others not wearing shirts. I was personally kicked out by John the manager. The others were not talked to or bothered. I am Guatemalan with darker skin. This feels more like racism. I will be canceling my membership.

The trainers I have had have been awesome, very professional. The front desk staff most are very good professional and friendly, there are some that aren’t. Some when you call in are not sure what to do or who to get the information to. Or they are not in and will call you back which never happens. I’ll have to call back. But the equipment is great and kept up. Friendly atmosphere.

Great gym. Gym is clean the hand sanitizers are always at good level. One negative is the maintenance on machines could improve. It takes average of 2 weeks to repair one broken machine.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this gym like a Wuhan Wet market.Do not sign up for anything, especially personal training. The red head guy (Hayden or Jayden or some generic name) running it is a straight up liar and shady person, as is their whole companies billing policies and practices. Then, I don’t know what Home Depot they pulled the little garden gnome manager out of; but he is also incredibly shady and worthless when it comes to anything resembling professionalism from a manager or resolving anything. All that aside - Trust me, there are a lot of other gyms in the area that are much better maintained. This gym offers a cheap membership - but it’s incredibly busy all the time, the machines are often broken for months on end, the bathrooms and sauna are absolutely disgusting, and the employees that manage this gym are downright terrible people and borderline scammers. Save yourself the headache and pay a little extra a month for the numerous other gyms in the area.

I joined in June online. Went in 8.3.2023 to make a payment with a card other than what was in the system. I let the receptionist know it was a one time payment & not to place my card in the system. To later find out not only was my payment not made it was placed under another member account who has no idea they've been costing me 780.00 I've had yet to completely receive. The gym is decent, my experience with the staff has not been a good one. I have to chase everyone down to be updated or helped it's been exhausting.

This gym is not only affordable, but the cleanliness of this gym is awesome. Compared to local competitors, this gym is perfect! Your graded with friendly staff, Exercise professionals available to improve your workouts, Facility is clean, locker room, and out on the main floor, Variety of exercise machines to use including cardio. Also, has a pool Jacuzzi, dry sauna, Massage chairs, movie theater, and for the parents… child play area while you workout! There’s also an outdoor area if you want to workout outside. There’s a variety of group classes. Highly recommend. The only negative thing is that it can become crowded during peak hours.

Their memberships are extremely affordable considering the quality of the facility. The gym itself is amazing. However, I’ve had a lot of financial setbacks since joining in August so I’ve been attempting to pause or cancel payments with great difficulty despite commuting with Hayden directly via email and on the phone. When I signed up I was told that I could easily pause my membership payments if necessary and that could not be further from the truth. I’ve repeatedly been charged for personal training sessions I never was able to use despite communicating that I couldn’t use them. I’ve also been trying to cancel my membership for two months now because I had to abruptly move away from San Diego and the area I’m in now doesn’t have an EOS location anywhere near it. The staff is super nice and great with communication when you go in for a tour or when you first sign up. But after that it’s like pulling teeth trying to get responses from people. I have sent Hayden several emails over the past few months with only 2 or 3 responses and I can only assume that he is intentionally ignoring me at this point since he knows I’m trying to cancel my membership and PT sessions. The gym is great but definitely not anything special enough to justify the hassle.

I love my membership at EoS. The staff is great and kept clean, and the added amenities like pool, jacuzzi, and sauna are a welcome bonus to my day. The relaxing and recovery rooms with massage chairs, Hypervolt massage guns, and Hyperice compression leg sleeves are probably my favorite part!

This gym is absolutely filthy. The locker room and sinks are disgusting. Always. The sauna doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned in months. Showers are missing hooks for your belongings. Some are missing locks. Machines are typically broken for 3+ weeks at a time. Not exaggerating. Kids camera has been broken for 3 months. You email management and nothing changes.
