AmeriKick Martial Arts Overland Park

Amerikick is my home away from home. I have been training with them since 2013, both online and in person. The facility is always clean and professional unlike a lot of other schools I’ve been in through the years. As an adult I look for the classes to have a heavier fitness focus as well as the knowledge of the martial arts I am learning and Amerikick covers all of it. They have a great team of instructors as well as a strong community of black belts that make the experience more like a family affair. I travel thousands of miles studying martial arts and have learned under some impressive instructors throughout my career but the most world class would have to be here at Amerikick Overland Park. I highly recommend them for anyone from ages 3 to 85.

From your first phone call to your first visit, all the staff and Instructors are warm and inviting. Very professional and knowledgeable of their art and instruction. Their space is so clean and inviting. You will definitely find classes for all of the family. I can not stress it enough what an amazing place this is! Such a positive environment. My 5 years old daughter totally love it. Amerikick Sensei are young and very enthusiasm. It surprised me how well they manage the kids in virtual class. The kids completely focus and follow the direction for 30 mins class. My daughter physically movement was improved just after few weeks. The program is designed very kid friendly. The price is also affordable.

My son has been taking the virtual classes from out of state. All of the teachers are fantastic! They are professional, attentive to detail, and really care about the growth and development of their students. I wish we lived close enough to attend the classes in person! I would absolutely recommend this school!

My son is 10 and has been coming to Amerikick for 3.5 years. He has had such a wonderful experience. We have seen him mature and gain confidence. He started in tournaments after about 6 months. He learned to win and even more important he has learned to lose. He has learned to set goals in karate and in school and to hold himself accountable. All the Sensei are amazing in their own way. We came here on the recommendation from a friend and could not be happier with having our son surrounded by so many positive role models.He has continued to train throughout the pandemic. Classes were immediately available on Zoom and the dojo has implemented many policies to make sure everyone is safe. I am so happy we found Amerikick for our son.

I am a student at Amerikick and I have found this school unmatched from its competitors. They work in a very professional manner like staying safe during these hard times, as well as producing some amazing athletes who will go on to be very successful further down the road. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to get started in karate.

We have had an excellent experience with AmeriKick in Overland Park. Today Sensi Henry, from today’s class, sent a personalized video to let our son know he was doing a great job and that he is glad to have him as a new student. My son is 6 years old and he has been attending classes for almost a year. He's still exited about classes every week! He's improved on fitness, responsibility, respect, and attitude. After attending his first tournament, he's even more interested in keeping up with his practice. Overall we're having a great experience with AmeriKick.

All of the senseis here are fantastic with children, they have so much patience with the little ones. We have been attending for just a little while and I can already see vast improvements with my sons attention, balance, coordination, and control. When we started my son couldn't balance on one leg for any length of time, he would always fall over (it was adorable to watch him try though). Now he can balance on one foot for three seconds and give a good kick. He is so proud of his achievements every week and loves to show off his new stripe that he earned in class. I highly recommend Amerikick Overland park to anyone wanting to add an activity to their child's routine.
