Planet Fitness

I enjoy going to this gym it's size and how it is spread out really is nice. Only downfall currently is it doesn't open until 6 AM and closes at 9 PM currently. When I joined it was 24 hours, and wish it could go back to that. I work out in the mornings before work and 6 is too late for me to get my workout in before. Sometimes I enjoy working out when I can't sleep at night around too and that is after the 9 PM closing so I have had to try and find another place to get my workout in at.

This PF is one of the better ones in the SKC area. Nicer equipment and what seems like almost at least two of each, it's super great to go at the non busy times, but even at busier times you can find an open machine to do what you need to.The space does feel small. The locker rooms are clean though. I wish they were open 24hrs, too.

I love PF and I have a black card plan. I go to Mission, but as I live closer to this PF I tried it out. The reason I gave 1 star is that the shower handles are locked to where you cannot access any hot water. The best you can hope is room temperature which is not fun when temps are in the 20's & 30's.

I did a walk around of this gym today. It is the size of most of their facilities in the KC area. There are several resistance bands . . . these tend to grow feet or frequently break so they're usually not available to use at other gyms. The lighting is bright and they have roomy private changing stations. I gave it 4 stars because I wish it were a bigger gym like in Mission, KS. I almost forgot. They have rowing machines, if you like that kind of cardio.

Great variety of equipment. People who are just beginning their health journey can start with more known machines that have great instruction. As you gain confidence, there are plenty of other equipment to tailor your workout with. Each time I go, I find something new I can use!

I love this location of Planet Fitness. It is located close to my children's school so it is super convenient just to head to the gym right after drop off. Very friendly staff, and PLENTY of machines and weights so you don't have to worry about "waiting your turn".

Staff is very friendly and the equipment is so nice! It also doesn't smell like a sweaty gym- very clean and inviting. Must bring your own lock for the lockers in the locker room- just a helpful hint!

Love the location as I get to work out during my lunch hour which I never used to be able to do in enough time. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. Club is very clean with all new equipment. I'm glad that I changed to Planet Fitness and look forward to an awesome and healthy 2020. Thanks!

So far so great. Not super busy yet. All brand new equipment and clean, of course. Nice layout, good machines, great cardio setup. Love it!Editing 8 months later: place is still great. Some are complaining about the masks in reviews. Ok. But you should be able to keep a fairly solid distance from other people. I’m always at least 6 feet away. I don’t know; not a problem for me. If you are worried wear your own mask and stay 6 feet away, not that hard.This gym has been great.

Not busy at all since it opened. Love the hours and the new equipment. The location is pretty central for Overland Park. Love those massage beds. By the way, does anyone actually know what that full body red light workout box does?
