Great gym! I get so much more out of a one hour class at this crossfit gym than I have with a month with a membership at a traditional gym. Great coaches and great community.

A little over a year ago I decided to try Old Colony Crossfit. My wife was a member and had been telling me to go for a long time. An appendectomy and 20lb weight gain later and I decided I had to try something. I am so glad I tried Old Colony Crossfit! The coaching staff is fantastic and owner Mike Landry runs a clean, huge, organized, well equipped, well coached box. The coaches are truly invested in your development as an athlete and the support from the community is incredible! The 20lbs are off and working at something new everyday. Check it out!

Not all crossfit gyms are the same and Old Colony Crossfit sets the top standard. I started my crossfit journey a couple of years back. I enjoyed the workouts but had to relocate due to work. I tried other crossfit gyms and had terrible experiences whether it be due to gym cleanliness or lack of coaching knowledge and passion. Time continued to pass and I hit an all time low mentally and physically. Since stepping into Old Colony Crossfit I was instantly part of a family. I went to observe a class and was not only welcomed by the owner but also the class members. Since then I have been a frequent member. Going to the gym is no longer an obligation on my list of things to do, it is now my “me” time. It’s the part of the day I take just for myself that makes me happy inside and out. The gym itself has doubled in size since I started. The gym moved to a larger and bigger space that the owner renovated and designed himself. The core and essence of the gym that makes it so special is the coaching staff, they are knowledgeable, certified instructors that are passionate about each member’s individual development and growth no matter your goals. They are always present for you and you are never ignored. The owner makes sure you get the most out of your training schedule by integrating individual strength programs so no matter how frequent your visits are you are getting all your needs tailored to your schedule. There is a lot of pride in this gym that starts at the owner level, he takes so much pride in the cleanliness, organization and function of the space and equipment that the same energy is passed onto the staff and members. I am proud to be a member of Old Colony Crossfit. Thank you, Michael Landry and staff, for all your hard work and dedication every day.

I decided to give Crossfit a try almost a year ago since a regular gym membership was not working for me. I came across Old Colony Crossfit on Google and the next day I scheduled my free class and signed up on the spot. The coaches are all AMAZING! With the combinations of lifting, skill work and WODs I am getting stronger and learning all the time. A plus: Everyone is super friendly and supportive!

I joined just looking for a place to get a bootcamp type workout. I couldn’t find any decently priced bootcamp classes so CrossFit was my last resort. I had all the hesitations of CrossFit as anyone else, I’ll get injured, everyone will be grunting and throwing weights around, I won’t understand anything etc. I said I’d give it a month and if I hated it, I’d leave. Almost two years later I had to leave only due to a job relo and I miss OCCF! Clearly they’ve got something great going on here.Pros:-Mike is welcoming to all levels of fitness and isn’t afraid to push you to get the most out of every workout. No he’s not screaming in your face, he’s encouraging you to put every ounce of effort you have into your workout.-they are sticklers on form. I was coached on my form at nearly every workout. They don’t want you doing it the wrong way.-the box is incredibly clean, and the equipment is top of the line. I only appreciate that now as other CrossFit’s I am checking out in my new town are nowhere near the quality of OCCF.-all the coaches know your name. You are not member 4774 at Globo gym. They know you, what your working on and this holds you accountable for when you feel like you want to skip a day, but you know they’ll ask where you’ve been. :-)-other members are incredibly welcoming and non judgmental of your fitness level.-they customize workout programs focused on your goals. They also use an app so you can track your progress and encourage (and get encouragement) on your workout from other members.-you can always make it into classes, I can’t recall being capped out of a class due to capacity - which is so nice compared to other gyms where you have to ‘commit’ 24 hours in advanceCons-you will be sore but in a ‘I worked my butt off and it feels good sore’ so is it really a con?Try out a class. It’s welcoming, it’s challenging, you’ll be addicted, and you’ll see results.

I joined Old Colony Crossfit in August 2016. I never thought I'd love Crossfit as much as I do now. I've gained so much in strength and confidence with my workouts. Mike is great and always makes sure you're pushing your hardest but being safe at the same time. I love the community at this box. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. They have fun in house competitions and I even participated in a open competition in October. If you're thinking about trying Crossfit, come here!

I always told myself I'd never do crossfit. I thought that all they cared about was lifting heavy things and were constantly getting hurt. Not the case her. Mike always makes sure you have the right form and that you get the best workout that you can!
