This is really a nice place for your kid to love karate. My kid likes to see me around in any class that he takes and it is nice that I can be inside watching my kid. Plus the teachers are great ! My kids keep asking me everyday to go to karate class. Give it a try , two of my friends just joined and they like it too!

I trained at Martial Arts America for 16 years, first under Master Pamela Flynn and then under Master Andrew Freitas, and it was nothing short of life-changing. Not only did I learn how to master crisp taekwondo kicks, powerful jiu-jitsu throws, masterful eskrima & serrada techniques, and valuable self-defense skills, but also the attitude needed to be successful in life. I learned confidence, leadership, and perseverance. Though I faced adversity along my journey, whether breaking my collarbone from a jiu-jitsu throw or losing countless times at tournaments, all my instructors have been by my side since day one, teaching me the importance of learning and using misfortune as an opportunity to improve. Even with the immense adversity of the COVID lockdown, Master Freitas attended to the situation professionally. After reopening from lockdown, he treated every student and family with understanding and empathy. His care for each student is evident, and I will forever be grateful for Martial Arts America and the instructors who have made me into the person I am today!

Amazing team, join us to feel part of a family not just a club. If you want to be treated as an individual, if you want to be treated as part of a team, if you want to grow, with your own definition of the word, then Mrs Flynn, Mr Ryker and the rest of the family can make it happen.

This is a great place. Our daughter started at Martial Arts America, Pleasanton in April 2016. She started with the Basic kids program and will be continuing on to the BBC 1 program. We decided to continue with the program at the Pleasanton location, because in addition to learning all the benefits of Tae Kwando, they teach the students to live the Tae Kwando Philosophy outside of the classroom. As a parent it is a great feeling to know that my kid is learning discipline, respect, mental and physical well being. My daughter, used to be very shy and timid. Ever since she started Tae Kwando she has gained a lot of confidence and continues to grow. The instructors are wonderful, welcoming and very professional. Mrs. Flynn is always there to answer all questions and concerns. We love this place!!
