A bit conflicted with this gym as my boyfriend and I went on and off for about a year. The parking sucks if you are trying to go in the evening times - but that's not really their fault. The classes itself is a good work out - however this gym focuses more on burning a lot of calories without teaching proper form and technique.PROS - Rates are very reasonable, a good size facility where you can work on your own bag, small section for weight lifting is available, classes do burn a lot of calories so expect to burn around 500+ calories per class. A lot of availability of class times to choose from which can work with anyone's schedule.CONS - Parking sucks. Although the weight room is there, if there's more than 2-3 people in it, it gets too crowded. Sometimes there's kids/teens who just hangs out in the weight room and just takes up space but they're not really working out. The coaches do not really teach you specific form and they throw very large combinations towards a class that's predominantly beginners. If my bf and I are confused with the combos and we've been doing boxing for years now - then no doubt would the beginners be confused too. The coaches sometimes do not go around and help and correct form. But again ,these classes are structured to help you burn a lot of calories and make you move a lot. But in terms of learning technique for boxing? It's an area of needed improvement.

Really enjoy the conditioning classes. They’re tough and push your limits, but are rewarding as heck! Great coaches, positive vibes. Happy I joined. 🥊 …

Portland City Boxing has been excellent. I joined the gym about a month ago after using fight camp for a year. It’s been a great transition to in person boxing fitness. Everyone is super friendly, inviting, and encouraging. The work outs are awesome. The atmosphere is very inclusive. Very glad to have joined this community.

PCB is excellent. The classes are intense and focused; the staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and dedicated; and the facility is practically brand new (the SE location opened only a few months ago). They sport open gym hours with free weights and a cpl machines, and the coaches are always willing to answer questions and give pointers if and when needed. As for learning the ropes and getting into shape, I don't think there's a better way than boxing conditioning. These classes push you hard, really look to see what you're made of, especially if they're coached by Scott B or Mike C. Whew--those guys do not joke around. But none of the coaches do. You're completely wiped out after every class, yet you're filled with that thrilling feeling of accomplishment at the same time. And that's worth every dime and drop of sweat. Kudos!

Best boxing gym in Portland. Staff works hard to keep classes fun and challenging. I've been coming here for almost 2 years and find it to be an excellent and addicting way to workout. Special props to Paul for the enthusiasm he brings to his classes. The gym has been great with Covid safety. Wishing the best for the gym during the freeze, I'll be following along on Zoom 🤘

I have been attending classes at this gym for about six months now. This place is FANTASTIC. Multiple class times available throughout the day. The instructors and knowledgeable and super cool. I have attended both Boxing Conditioning and Kickboxing Conditioning classes. Free weights, slam balls, sleds, ropes...all available. Can't beat the price for everything you get. Not to mention the choice of music is spot on!! So happy I chose this gym.

I have been a member of this gym since it opened on Glisan almost 3 years ago. It is the best gym I have ever been to and the people that run it really care. If you are new they help you get started at any level. Always kind. Coach Tommy is an amazing instructor.

I love this gym, especially working out with Johnny! I have had such a wonderful experience and been in the best shape of my life working out here. I would encourage anyone who is curious to at least drop in for a class—it is definitely worth your time.
