This yoga studio is INCREDIBLE! The teachers are present, creative, and inspirational women who lead dynamic and interesting yoga classes. These aren’t your “average” yoga classes - you can tell how much time, effort, and expertise that the teachers put into each class. I went so far as to let the owner know that I have been to some of the best yoga classes in my life at this studio…. it is truly a step above other studios!I purchased a monthly membership for ONLY $100. That is unheard of!! They offer all of their classes via video, which you can partake in from the comfort of your home, vacation, friends house, etc. They also offer strength training, meditation, Thai massage, and other interesting classes.Additionally, the atmosphere is better than any studio I’ve ever been to! As soon as you walk in, everyone is so welcoming and positive. There is such a strong sense of community and it is a great place to make new friends.I am so grateful to have been referred to this studio by so, so, so many people! It has been life changing 💗.

What an amazing addition to Portland! PYC feels like a peaceful little oasis. I love the variety of classes that are offered from morning til evening, but regardless of style all the teachers I've had are excellent–experienced, engaged and it's always clear how much thought the put into developing their classes. The care and love that goes into this studio at every level is palpable which has been great for my yoga practice because I just like spending time there. So grateful to have PYC and all the incredible people behind it in town!

I really, really enjoyed my yoga classes at PYC. There were a few things I was really grateful for. I was grateful that all three instructors had soothing yoga music. I travel a lot and always find a studio. So many studios play music that is loud, jarring, and not very centering or leads to a quiet mind. But at PYC, I left each class with a quiet mind. The playlist was not the focus of attention, it was a very soothing background. The instructors were all wonderful and insightful. The pace of the flow was wonderful and such creative sequences from each instructor. One suggestion, longer savasanas. I was just beginning to drop in when we were called out. People generally need more of savasana than less. Being able to really drop in is essential for our nervous system and the reduction of anxiety and stress. I'm noticing across the country, studios are doing shorter savasanas.Jess at the front desk was so friendly and remembered my name when I came back for class #2. I see that this studio has and will continue to build a strong community.

I have been going to PYC for a few months now and am in love with this studio and the people. Prior to coming here I had done some yoga but never had a consistent practice. Now I go as much as possible. The owner- Jess, is so friendly and knew my name after just a couple classes. The instructors are experienced and always keep class interesting. I enjoy the variety and they offer special classes that you can’t find other places in Portland. I also appreciate that every class is offered in person and virtually. This is THE place to do yoga and I’m so happy I found it

PYC is my favorite studio in Maine! I’ve never been to a studio with such friendly staff, teachers, and students. As a new resident to Portland this studio has also helped me meet several new friends! Tizzy is one of my favorite teachers, not only does she focus on the physical practice of yoga but she has a gift for tying it to the spiritual and emotional practice as well. Great workout physically, mentally, and spiritually! 1000 times recommend.

I love how all PYC classes are available both in person and virtually. As someone who works remotely, the midday Express Vinyasa classes are great way to break up the day. I also appreciate the variety of classes. When I'm looking for an energizing workout I turn to the PYC Strength and Conditioning classes. Also, this studio is beautiful, incredible ambience, and woman-owned!

Taking class at Portland Yoga Collective is now something I look forward to each week.I have spent so many years taking virtual classes that I forgot the gift of being in the energy of a class in person. The space is beautiful, the community is so welcoming — it feels like a little getaway each time I enter the space. The first time I took Cayce's restorative yoga class I had tears in my eyes because it felt so nurturing, so peace-filled — and a space just to be. Without originally knowing it, it was just what I was looking for.

PYC is a wonderful, comfortable space to practice in, with a great variety of class offerings from different teachers who all bring their own style to the mat. Jess, the owner, has made me feel so welcome and cared for from the first time I attended. Can't recommend the studio enough!

My yoga home in Portland I didn't know I was missing until they opened. Diverse array of classes -- there's always something that fits what you need from power flow to gentle yoga and thai massage. The space and community at large is warm and inviting. And most importantly, Jess and all of the teachers are wonderful human beings and excellent teachers. I've never been to a class where I didn't feel better afterwards. Thank you PYC, we love you!
