If you go to PSU, your academic fees already pay for this place, so if you never go here, you are literally getting ripped off (sorry remote students 🙁). The good news is, if you do go here, you get access to one of the best gyms I've ever had. In addition to standard gym equipment such as weight machines and treadmills, this place also has an indoor swimming pool, a small indoor track, a two-story rock climbing wall, as well as regular fitness, swimming, and yoga classes. In addition multiple student rec clubs meet here, such as the Latina Dance club, the weightlifting club, the fencing club, and many others (although some clubd may currently be inactive due to the pandemic).Overall, a 5-star experience. I'd highly recommend any PSU student who lives near or regularly commutes to PSU to check this place out.

Its a well maintained facility with friendly staff. The gym itself is rather small, only have 4 benches. I go early so its not really a problem. I enjoy the track and pool though.

I love the facilities at the rec center, but the staff do not enforce the schedule at all, most listed schedule times are incorrect, and worse than that the staff perpetuate this by starting events later or earlier than the listed times. I …

Good gym, you can usually use what you want; however, during the afternoon (maybe just during the winter) the whole south side is rendered virtually useless by the sun shining directly into, arguably maliciously attacking, your eyeballs.

Hours of operation are too less. If you can't open it, why have it ? May as well close it forever. Can't think of any reasons for closing so early on Friday and Saturday. Worst campus gym ever.

I went in yesterday to ask about signing up for a class/info on a class. The two guys that were in the "welcome" office were far from welcoming. It made me reconsider going to PSU. If this is how their staff is, it might not be a good idea …

Overcrowded, if I'm going to be forced to pay for this gym I shouldn't have to wait around for squat racks. Kind of scummy way for psu to make money.

As campus gyms go, this one is pretty excellent. Even better, they have a ton of classes available to students and staff which is fantastic. Their outdoor program is also phenomenal. Knowledge staff that run really fantastic trips to the backcountry, and tons of gear for rent at prices that can't be beat if you want to do your own thing. The climbing gym is on the smaller side but with great routes and lots of options. It's also worth checking out the pool which is quite large.

Great equipment, modern building, a full schedule of exercise classes, and a great price for alumni passes. I enjoy climbing, and doing yoga here. Sometimes the staff isn't wildly knowledgeable, but there's always someone there who can figure out how to get things done.

Decent gym if you happen to be on campus. The pool is big and awesome. Sadly, its missing a lot of things: …
