Springboard Pilates is a great place to get started on Pilates. The teachers are expert, and very kind and supportive. They have helped me come back from a hip replacement to a new level of flexibility and strength.

Springboard Pilates is an excellent place to practice pilates and to get a wonderful workout. I visited Portland for a couple of weeks in July 2023 and purchased a five-pack. I had a fantastic experience each time. Ash, Cathryn, and Cait are all excellent instructors--knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. Cait's "Slowburn Reformer" class is a particularly intense and wonderful workout that left me feeling strong and balanced. I can't wait to return on my next trip to Portland.

I LOVE Springboard. I came from a contemporary pilates background and was a little nervous about going classical. Starting off with the two 1:1 sessions was great and I moved into weekly classes easily. All of the instructors are AMAZING and the community at the studio reflects that. I highly recommend Springboard and getting into pilates in general. It is a super fun way to workout and build strength. There is a lot of variety in classes and it never gets boring. Always the best parts of my week (even at 8am on a Monday). ❤️❤️❤️

It took me almost 3 years to muster the courage to walk into this magical space. At the encouragement of my Los Angeles neurosurgeon with whom I had three spinal surgeries, I had finally walked past the lovely entrance, with daily encouraging messages on the sign board outside, one time too many. I scheduled a consultation for myself and my husband. That decision might count among the best I've made in decades :-) EVERYONE at Springboard is remarkable... Such warmth, authenticity, professionalism, humility, and the ENERGY! The VIBE! Every minute is just so positive!I'm stiff. And clutzy. And I've never taken a single Pilates class. No problem! Every instructor I've/we've had a class with or taken a lesson from (Meredith , Cathryn, Pam, Ash) is amazing. There is absolutely NO judgement, either from the instructor or from fellow class members. Not once have I felt I was holding anyone back. Corrections are made discreetly and the focus on form is priority one. I honestly never for a minute thought that I could enjoy exercising so much that I have to work to limit the classes I'm signing up for... Four or five days a week? I'm obsessed. Now if only I could reclaim those three years...

Springboard Pilates is a key component of my injury recovery. The teachers are well trained, knowledgeable and enjoyable. I am stronger, more flexible, have greater mobility. My physical confidence has grown dramatically. Springboard Pilates is also supportive of those of us who are not natural athletes, a great environment.

This is a kind, considerate, and supportive community of pilates instructors. My mind and body have thrived in this studio! Don't be afraid to give a lesson a try if you are a beginner.

I moved to Portland about two and a half years ago and was hoping that I could find a great, classical Pilates studio. Springboard was–and remains–the answer. Meredith and her staff are skilled, sensitive, and fun. Meredith, especially, has an intuitive sense of what the body in front of her needs–the hallmark of a great Pilates teacher.I recommend Springboard to anyone who wants to feel better, move better, or look better. Beginners to advanced, no matter how long–or how little–you’ve sat on the sofa, there’s a class or workout here for everyone. What you won’t find is elitism or snobbery–you’ll never feel judged or like you’re in a competition. On a personal note, I was stricken with stage 3 bladder cancer last year, and struggled to find my way back to health. With patience, steady encouragement, and a ton of kindness, Meredith has overseen my slow and painful return to form. As much as I am grateful for my life, I am grateful to Meredith for helping me return to it.

I started at Springboard in the fall of 2021 at the recommendation of my massage therapist. I had re-injured my lower back for the 3rd time and she told me that pilates could help me heal and develop and maintain strength so that I would stop injuring it. I started with privates lessons with Ash and it has helped me so much! She's worked diligently with me, teaching me SO much about the nuances of my body, how to engage the right muscles, how changing the tiniest part of your configuration can help you do that so you stop aggravating the muscles you don't want to (e.g., like how pressing down your pinky toe can help keep you out of your hip flexors). She knows SO much about how the body works, and you can tell gets excited when you share how yours is reacting to a movement. If I tell her I'm feeling something in my hip, for example, she'll call it "good data," chronicle it mentally for future workouts, and then have me make adjustments.I started going for my lower back but have seen significant benefit with my shoulders. I've always suffered with migraines from shoulder tension, but struggled to strengthen the right muscles in my upper back to prevent using the wrong one (and cause that tension). Now that I do pilates I am engaging the RIGHT muscles there to build strength and prevent tension.Ash is amazing! Everyone that teaches at Springboard is fantastic. To say my life has changed would be an understatement. I now walk taller, can lift things more easily without back pain, feel the correct muscles engaging when I do everyday things, and, my clothes fit better! Added bonus. :) Plus, the energy there is so fun and enjoyable. I go 4-5 times a week and never want to stop!

I love this place with all my heart. I dropped into a class on a whim last year and it's been my home away from home ever since. Everyone teaches in their own style and it's never frowned upon to be different, which is a really nice change from other studios I've been to around the country. Never disappointed with classes with Ash, Meredith, Catherine or Leslie but found I meshed extra well with Ash so I do a love of private classes with her (in addition to going to classes with everyone else).
