If you are looking for a personal trainer, Mike is the guy!! From the moment I met him at our initial meeting, I knew he was going to be the perfect fit for what I needed. He's one of the most positive, motivating people I've ever met which makes me look forward to our training sessions. Mike is always there to show support even outside of scheduled training sessions. He answers any questions I have through text, checks in, shares in my excitement when I've made progress. I would absolutely recommend Mike to anyone!Editing to share my story…Giving a huge shout out to this guy, Michael Hartman, with Formal Fitness Training. This is a long post...I started my fitness journey last April shortly after moving in to our new house with the goal of losing the baby weight. This decision to get in shape couldn't have come at a better time and I'm so happy we chose Mike to help us get there.Two months in to my training, I noticed a lump in my stomach after losing some weight. Then came the news that it was a tumor and I would need major abdominal surgery to remove it. After that came the ovarian cancer diagnosis and the radical hysterectomy throwing me in to surgical menopause at 38 years old. Despite all of that, I was back on my feet and fully recovered 6 weeks after surgery.I am so grateful that I met Mike and started working with him when I did. Getting in shape, building muscle, losing weight definitely made my recovery so much easier to get through. I have lost a total of 30 lbs on the scale but gained muscle in the process. I work out 4 days a week with minimal cardio and I still can enjoy foods like pizza and french fries. And wine :)But don't just choose any trainer! Mike is a caring and compassionate person that just wants to see you succeed and get better. Reach your goals! He has the ability to adapt to your specific fitness needs which was not an easy task considering what he helped me through this past year.I'm sharing my experience to say don't wait. Training with Mike was hands down one of the best decisions I have made and I highly recommend chatting with him to see how he can help you as well!

Mike is an amazing trainer involved in all aspects of fitness from weight training, stretching, recovery, dietary needs and any supplements. On top of that he is also just a great guy who genuinely cares and motivates. It's only been several weeks but his routines are already producing results and his vast knowledge has improved my form and reversed some bad habits I had developed while exercising on my own. I cannot recommend him enough.Edit. It's been a year. I will let the photos speak for themselves. Michael is a training wizard and a valued friend.

After suffering from a fairly debilitating spinal injury this past year, my entire world changed. Prior to the injury, I was active, mobile and always on the go. Afterwards, I was afraid to sneeze while standing for fear the excruciating pain would send me to the floor. Instead of the recommendation for surgery, I opted for injections and went on the hunt for a trainer who understood my issue and would be brave enough to take me on as a client. A cookie cutter program would not work for me as I have several restrictions in my movements. Mike works with my limitations to create custom workouts that both stabilize and strengthen. As a former college athlete, I enjoy being coached and supported by a trainer who has my best interests and goals in mind. In only a few months, I have made so much progress and look forward to continuing with this healing journey.

Mike is fantastic to work with, he has a ton of experience and knowledge and is really able to tailor everything to your specific goals. We've been working with him for a few months so far and already seeing progress above what my wife and I were getting on our own. Mike's communication is absolutely fantastic too, always prompt and happy to answer any questions we have any time. When we were looking for a trainer Mike's positive attitude is really what drew us to him and he brings that to every session. Looking forward to continuing to work with him to achieve our fir was goals and would recommend to anyone looking for the same.
