I've been attending classes at Professor Pereira's school for awhile now, and I've never felt better! A while back I got into Mauy Thai and I loved it, but as a smaller guy I thought it was important to supplement it with some kind of grappling discipline. I did some research and quickly realized Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was for me. Imagine how excited I was to find a place that offered both AND a full gym (I've been trying to get in all around better shape as I'm getting married in a few months). I was able to get in on a special (there isn't a regularly posted price) which meant I pay $80 per month plus cost of my gear. Although the upfront investment is a lot, once you're through with that you get some incredible value. Think of it like this: For about what you would pay at a higher-end gym like Golds, you get the workout space with the same equipment you'd be using there, a class full of people at every skill level who will welcome you and walk with you, options for classes in MMA, boxing, Mauy Thai and jiu jitsu, a Thursday workout group, and the chance to learn crucial self-defense skills while getting into the best shape of your life! By joining you're also becoming part of a global community of practitioners and have the chance to learn some of the most tried and true combat sports around. Professor hails from Brazil and cut his teeth with some of the greatest fighters on the planet. He is very knowledgeable and challenges me to be better and stronger every day. Not only do I feel better when I train, I feel more in control of my body and mind. I'm so much more relaxed and focused and I generally just enjoy life more. If you're just getting into martial arts or are looking to branch out, this place is worth hitting up.

Ask yourself what you want. If you want professional, personal, affordable.I found professional in Professor Pereira. I came in, asked questions, felt comfortable. In classes, from small children to myself in my 40's, EVERYONE has an option to learn. The speed you learn though, is up to you. The training, the workouts, are all there IF you are WILLING to commit and put the time in.Team Pereira MAKES it personal.Affordable yes. This is not Planet Fitness or Gold's people. There are no mirrors. You may get hurt. It's called the MMA Acadamy for good reason. To get ALL of the disciplines under ONE roof, there is no comparison for the dollar. Here, there are NO individuals. You put in the effort, but EVERYONE learns, is rewarded, and whether you just want to learn and get fit, or train and compete, there is UNLIMITED potential in my eyes.In the short time I have been here and part of the team, I have no regrets. I will only get out what I put in.The rest is up to you.

The MMA Academy is a great place to go to for all ages. With the rich history of the team's outstanding success, as well as the many students that show up day in and day out... It really makes this training program the one to join! From awesome training/practices that are always changing and focused on development, to tournaments and bouts, this place is the real deal.I would suggest anyone that would like to learn or continue to develop their skills to come join Team Pereira and the rest of the MMA Academy. It is truly the BEST place and thee "Go-to" training facility.

Great gym with lots of equipment. And a professor who can teach anybody at any skill level. Even the very young kids learn fast. That explains why so many of the kids from here win all of the time
