I just started working out in February at Planet Fitness Gym in Reading. Brian Arsenault who must be the manager is there faithfully with an upbeat personality and so positive and inspiring!!!!! He always remembers my name and thanks me for coming in. I have gone to Danvers and Newburyport as well but Brian motivational attitude gets me to keep coming back!!!

Like the location, just wish they had better parking. They're also better at chasing away people who cut in to the 30 minute workout area than most PFs. Hate the meatheads who sit on equipment staring at their devices. Wish they would establish a policy to curb it.

Great place to workout. Staff is helpful and friendly, just don't plan your workout on Saturday morning. Just about every Saturday there is a line outside at 7 am when they are supposed to open. Makes it tough when you work on saturday and are trying to squeeze in a workout.

Because of the location in North Reading this planet fitness gets a decent rating. Plenty of cardio machines not so much for lifting weights. The good: surprisly this one location doesn't attract the usual planet fitness crowd. People use the machines and move on, no one or group hogs the machine while using their phone. This facility is fairly clean, all in all this is way better than the Lynn location.

Totally agree that staff is rude, particularly the evening crew. I have never seen anyone in this place smile. They treat people like they are doing them a favor to let them use THEIR gym. There was no one else in the Black Card area and the manager wouldn't even give me a couple of extra coins to use the chairs. Yet she invited a friend who is not a member to take home pizza intended for paying members! Another time I asked for some coins intending to use them after I worked out. The fellow on nights came over, embarrassing me in front of other guests and said I have to use the coins immediately! They have stupid rules just for the sake of rules. They all seem to be on some kind of power trip. Definitely not as clean as other clubs in the area. Come to Wilmington, we are open 24/7 and always try to accommodate our guests!!!

I have been to this particular spot a few times and I really like it. The staff is very friendly and helpful and I like being near a Dunkin for iced coffee lol. The gym is also very clean, actually they all are which is really important for me as I am a bit of a clean freak. But it is nice that people of all ages can work out and not feel judged. In general I really like PF and plan to remain a member.
