I joined Northstate Crossfit about two months ago and it has been absolutely amazing! I'm hooked! Everyone there is incredibly kind and hard working. I did not come in very strong, but I have improved a ton in just the short two months that I've been here for. The staff is extremely knowledgable and know how modify EVERYTHING! So, no matter where you are in your fitness journey, Northstate Crossfit is the place for you!

I just started at Northstate and I am really happy I finally made the leap! I was nervous to join because I have never been very strong or able to lift heavy weights. But as soon as I started my on-ramp I felt comfortable and excited to move forward. The staff and coaches are really kind and knowledgeable. There is a strong sense of community and support. I was also hesitant to join because I thought I might injure myself but the on-ramp classes are all about form and safety. I now feel confident knowing that no one is expecting me to lift anything or do anything that isn't appropriate for my current fitness level. It's easy to feel intimidated when you see people lifting these giant weights but now I just feel inspired!

The staff here are incredibly knowledgeable. There is a strong feeling of community in this gym. Jonathan and Crista have done an incredible job of making health and fitness more accessible to the whole family. Spending time in this gym has helped me become more humble, teachable, and aware of my own thoughts as well as my physical strength, realized and potential. A special thank you to Hannah and Nash for answering my endless stream of questions with experience and understanding.

NSCF is one of the best things that ever happened to me. I was very active in high school and college with football and track, but that was over 10 years ago. Ever since, I have been rock climbing, hiking and doing yoga for fitness. When I joined their gym I realized that I was truly missing the "team" aspect of physical expression. Their coaches are all very well trained, super-attentive and friendly, and the community as a whole is welcoming and supportive. Every workout is hard in its own special way and it changes every day so you can come often without experiencing the negative side effects of over-training. I especially like to use their physical therapy equipment (e.g. lacrosse balls, foam rollers, rubber bands, theracane, etc.) after I workout as their coaches are highly supportive of mobilizing tension and imbalances in muscles and correcting posture. I am in the healthcare field and I have recommended many different patients to them because I know that they can help improve quality of life with regards to weight loss, emotional imbalances, and of course cardiovascular and muscular strength and health. Their mandatory two week "on-ramp program" really prepares each new-comer for the exercises and understanding of what is to come in their classes so that you will not hurt yourself by jumping in too fast. I feel much more empowered throughout all aspects of my life and I am definitely hooked. Thank you Crista and Jonathan for going the extra mile and creating such a gem in Redding community.
