This is the best gym experience I've had.I joined for the privacy and 24hr access, but I stayed for the coaching. The owners have created a positive a positive and supportive environment. Highly recommend this place.

The gym is clean with plenty of equipment and is remarkably convenient from anywhere with 405 fwy access. I've loved coming here since I started my weightlifting journey but I didn't realize how good I had it until I heard other friends share stories of their own gyms: people arguing over equipment, invading each other's space, or trying to use the gym as a pick-up spot. It never even occurred to me that these things happen at gyms because of my experience at GTS: the coaches are nice without being soft, and push you to be your best while still listening to what you think works for you. The other lifters are there to lift and make their own progress, not work-out unresolved childhood trauma, and the longest I've ever waited for a machine is about 45 seconds for the leg press. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

I had a great experience at GTS. The staff was super knowledgeable, respectful, and communicative throughout the sign up process. Although I am new to the area, they made me feel very welcomed. I am excited to push towards my fitness goals at GTS Torrance / Rolling Hills.

Highly recommend taking the 3 day master course first to get a feel for the gym and their training style. I've been consistent with working out for ~5 years and never had anyone work with me on form before. The 3 day master course provided massive value and learned how to correctly do the most important movement patterns. What I loved about the experience is you can FEEL the difference when you do it right. The flexible monthly packages are also great. Never got sense of being sold to, just a bunch of great people who love sharing their passion. Try it out and see if it's the right fit for you.

I’ve been a member of several gyms over the years. This is by far the best experience I have had. Extremely clean facility and very friendly, courteous staff. Any and all questions I have ever had were answered within minutes. Never any pressure to get any additional services like a lot of gyms do. The clients that also attend here are very courteous and respectful to your space and time. I highly recommend this place for any level of fitness plans. 5 star gym.

This is a barbell and power lifting oriented gym that also includes the usual weight machines, dumbbells, kettle bells, and a variety of resistance bands, rollers, and other accessories. Highly recommend the 3-day barbell masters workshop for anyone new to this style of training or wanting a tune up. There are no treadmills or ellipticals, the only cardio equipment is one air bike and one rowing machine. I have seen all kinds of members in this gym including men, women, young people, and older folks. Members get 24-hour access to 4 total gym locations which all have similar equipment, this location in North Redondo plus one in south Torrance, another in downtown El Segundo, and a fourth in Westchester near LAX. Gym visits require a reservation which limits the number of people in the gym at any time so there are never lines or wasted time. A variety of membership options are available ranging from unlimited visit plans which include personal coaching down to single visits without coaching and many options in between. The monthly cost is roughly 5x to 10x more than a "big box" style gym but for me the quality justifies this additional expense. Unlike big box gyms, the weights are always properly re-racked by members and the facility is carefully maintained and cleaned. Bonus points for Dave the gym dog who visits members taking part in personal coaching!

Exactly what I was looking for when I moved to LA and wanted to join an old-school strength-training gym! I was tired of chain gyms that want you to train like you're in a library or church, have insane wait times for popular equipment, or try to constantly upsell you. I wanted a more authentic and customizable workout experience, and GTS delivers exactly that. The coaching and management team is super friendly and responsive, the facilities are clean, and there are zero wait times (sometimes it almost feels like working out in a private gym!). I haven't used them for training help yet, but all of the coaches are powerlifting athletes, so I don't doubt that they know what they're doing! I was always a gym rat but I feel even more excited about training because of the great workout sessions I experience at GTS. On top of everything, it's a great way to support a local business!

I’ve been training at GTS for years and I can’t recommend them enough. The coaches are more than trainers, they are great shepherds along your strength journey. Over the years, they have helped me improve my technique, mobility, and confidence in lifting heavy weights. They have also been able to adapt my strength programs to account for injuries and keep me progressing. The coaches are always supportive, encouraging, and fun to work with. If you are looking for a place to get stronger, healthier, and happier, game time strength GTS is the place for you! While each of the gyms has their own special traits, this one is a favorite because it’s filled with mirrors so you can monitor your form or check out the shredded bod you’ve built through hard work and dedication.

Amazing, clean and not crowded gym. If you’re getting back into working out or new I’d highly recommend their training camp! I love that they have the option to just sign up for an open gym membership. No crowds, no waiting for equipment and you can go anytime you want as you get your own key. They have a couple a different locations that aren’t to far if you want to jump around which is great. Equipment is brand new and always clean.
