I truly enjoyed the studio and the classes for half a year. But when I need to cancel my membership, the studio was not responsive at all. I don't even know who is the manager or the account manager of the studio. I tried emailing and texting to get my membership cancelled since June, using the contact information on Google but I did not get any response. After that, I went to a class and talked to my instructor, Katey and she advised me to text the number on the sign outside the studio that was there to attract new members. It was the same number that I tried to contact since June. I tried texting one more time but again no replies. I am sure this is the right number since it's the number they provide to new members. It was really frustrated, 3 month laters and I still have to pay the monthly free. I don't even know what to do know now. I no longer live in the area. Just hope this review is helpful to anyone considering signing up with the studio.

Great studio- quick and convenient when I’m in Renton. Great teachers

I went to a Hatha class and it followed a modified / compressed Bikram routine. The thermostat showed 103 and felt hotter with the humidity. The studio’s only bathroom is accessed thru the yoga studio. I did not have the heart (grit?) to go back in to change so had a sweaty ride back home. Prepare accordingly. Otherwise I thought it was a solid practice and deserved full marks.

I had a very unpleasant experience with the manager of the studio, Angela. I was informed that due to health related issues I can not attend Hot yoga class. I was one week into a one month unlimited membership, I stopped going and immediately reached out to the manager to explain and see about a possible refund. Didn’t hear from her for over a week. She finally called and left me a 2 minute voicemail then proceeded to have a text conversation with me and refused to call me. At one point she stated “this is a yoga studio, not a bank so most people don’t demand an Immediate response” - I believe proper business etiquette is connecting/responding within 24 to 48 hours, even just to say hey, let me get back to you.During my two week “trial” membership, there were a couple of things that made me feel uncomfortable, not wanted and not welcome there as well. Not a single instructor asked if I was enjoying classes or if they could assist me with a membership so that I could continue to practice there.None of the instructors asked if it was okay to touch/adjust me during class or provide me with feedback during the class. I am all for learning, but please have the respect to ask if feedback/touch is welcome. Offer variation poses, grab and offer blocks/bolster/etc. to help the yogi. You don’t need to stop the entire class to provide feedback to one yogi.A welcoming and respectful studio is important to me; based on my experience, this is not a place I would ever recommend spending money to learn and practice at.*

Always delightfully soothing. Each instructor places emphasis on creating a warm, nurturing, and healing environment. Supportive and free from that competitive or "only one right way" thing other places I've been to over the years have had.You should do it. You will be welcomed with good energy.

I’m so grateful that Balance has reopened! The teachers are amazing, and they are following Covid protocol and everything is super clean! I feel very safe being there now and it’s just so great to be back in the studio. The care and consideration to safety for their students and teachers is truly top notch.

I did hot yoga a couple times 3 years ago and dreaded the experience. I was really opposed to ever trying hot yoga again until I came to Balance Hot Yoga in Renton. Not sure if it’s the calm environment or the friendly instructors, but I am surprised at how much I like it this time around! Matter of fact, I got an annual membership! The different class offerings at various times is definitely a plus as it can accommodate around your busy schedule. Happy to say, yoga is now a highlight of my day.Highly recommend! Join today, you won’t be disappointed!

Wish I could give 6 stars. This was my first Yoga experience and I was hesitant. Was pretty sure I wouldn't like the HOT part of hot yoga but actually like it a lot. I enjoy the mix of instructors. Every one is really good but so different from the others it keeps things interesting. They offer a large variety of classes -some hot some not- and I take 4 different classes each week now.I recommend you get the unlimited 30 day pass then use it as much as you can.Oh yeah, I signed up for the annual pass. 2 months in and best decision.
