I can’t say enough positive things about this gym. The owners are the kindest and most supportive athletes I’ve worked with - they are patient and encouraging with a newbie like me.I started lifting in November with Chris as my coach and I have progressed so immensely in such a short time - I leave every session feeling energized, empowered, and ready to come back for more. Chris is a thoughtful teacher and coach, he takes the time to ensure I’m working on my form and understanding what my body is doing. It’s obvious that coaching is his passion. This gym was a dream come true for Chris and I started patronizing it as a gesture of friendship and now I’m continuing as an investment in myself. If you want a welcoming space with great facilities and even better company, come to the Public House Barbell Club.

Amazing 24-hour facility which leaves no room for excuses to get a workout in! Packed with multiple squat racks, platforms, assault bikes and whatever else you can think of, the pub has an excellent variety of equipment for you to use.Despite the gym being a very focused and competitive powerlifting gym, it remains one of the most warm and friendly ones that I’ve visited. Members have no problem sparking up a conversation between sets, helping you with a lift off or spot, or having a friendly “lift-off” where you see who can lift more on a specific lift. The owners are both locals and enthusiastic lifters. They have helped me immensely with my form, 1RM, and overall health on my fitness journey. As someone new to lifting in general, I can’t think of a better gym to recommend to you then the pub!
