My son started taking classes here 2 weeks ago and I think the Grand Master Kim should start charging me for watching the classes. I think I am learning almost as much about patience, respect and kindness from seeing Mister Sammy and Kim teach classes as my son.We have had our children many different activities and classes and Kim College of Tae Kwon Do is the one that sticks out as being the most beneficial for the mind, body and spirit.I’d recommend this place to anyone, young, old or anywhere in the middle looking to better their lives.

Kim’s College of Tae Kwon Do changed my life.Pretty dramatic, right? It’s not an exaggeration. I really do mean it: Master Kim has taught me more than any other teacher about the true meanings of discipline, perseverance, and integrity. I’ve never been a particularly athletic person, but Kim’s College of Tae Kwon Do has pushed me far beyond what I thought my limits were.First of all, the classes are excellent. We spend a good half-hour stretching before every class, which will both help prevent pulled muscles and give you flexibility you never thought you had. We work on foot techniques, forms, and sparring, before winding down with some deep stretching and repetitive exercise (frog jumps and/or back sit-ups followed by push-ups), and work up a serious sweat with every section. You will end every class completely exhausted but feeling amazing – it’s a truly wonderful feeling.Master Kim is, again, probably the greatest teacher I’ve ever had. He pushes you by making you push yourself, by having unwavering faith in your inner strength and potential. He is the strongest man I have ever met, with incredible skill and a will of steel. He always manages to pump us up with his positive attitude, and maybe with a little bit of fear as well. Although he is tough on us, his kindness and desire for us to be our best always shines through.Kim’s College of Tae Kwon Do welcomes any skill level – we’ve had previous black belts and complete newcomers, as well as people from many different sports (including previous Dallas Cowboy, one of the NFL’s all-time yardage leaders, and all-around athletic superstar, Herschel Walker), and all of them have had plenty to learn from Master Kim. The truly amazing thing about Kim’s College is that the classes adjust to your skill level. Not only do the actual techniques get more advanced as your rank increases, but you will also discover layers and layers of detail in even the simplest techniques. I’ve been a student for around twelve years, and still find myself making discoveries all the time. Finally, martial arts are far more than just exercise. For centuries, the physical conditioning of martial arts has been held up by a framework of philosophy. At Kim’s College of Tae Kwon Do, the strength of your muscles is a distant second to the strength of your will. Discipline, indomitable spirit, perseverance, integrity and more are all the true focus of our training. I have learned some of the best lessons of my life here. The truth is, I have no talent for martial arts. I’m uncoordinated, and have never really clicked with physical fitness. Tae Kwon Do has been an uphill path for me, but it has taught me so much about what it means to be a good person – what it means to have patience and a willingness to work hard even in difficult times. So, let me sum it up:Pros:-Master Kim is an amazing teacher who pushes you to be your best.-You will always work up a sweat and come out of class feeling pleasantly exhausted.-You will discover new levels of flexibility, balance, and strength.-The workout grows with you.-You will find a new family of friends who support each other and look out for one another.-You will learn about a philosophy that will teach you to be a better person both at Tae Kwon Do and in your personal life.-Also, for children, the junior classes are excellent - they helped me shape up a lot when I was younger and gain a lot of discipline and respect for others that I lacked starting out.Cons:-If you are looking for a lighter workout, this is not for you. There’s nothing wrong with wanting something you can fit into your daily routine without having to make a large time commitment, or just wanting a bit of light exercise, but this is not the class for you: each class is two hours, and those are two hard hours.I hope to see you in class soon!Jacob Lynd, 4th dan black belt

I trained with Master Kim for about 10 years until my 2nd Dan. Then I moved overseas. If you really want to study TKD Chung Do Kwan in a traditional setting, this is the place. The longer you study there, the higher your rank, the harder it gets. Grand Master Kim pushes you beyond your limits in every class. If you stay with it, you will become a fast, powerful and highly capable martial artist. Kim is the real deal.

Master Kim is probably the best teacher you can find around. If you want to earn great martial skills learn self discipline and push yourself to the limit this is the place to go for sure. Master Kim is the ideal trainer he takes time with each and every one of his students giving insightful constructive criticism. We have live in class sparring with full contact, but only if you're up for it and master Kim will even spar with the older students full contact if you think you're ready (you have to be the real deal though). He's great with students of all ages and really strives to teach the core values that he learned in Korea, although after sitting and talking with him I can tell he's a lot more lenient than his instructors were. Saying that its not for the faint of heart but great if you're willing to learn and understand. his prices were pretty good when I was attending.

For three years, I’ve watched my 2 grandkids in regular classes and when Master Kim tests them and adults in the same class to gain a higher belt. My 8 year old grandson is happy in a classes with adults. He knows each learns at their own speed.

This place had been here for almost 40 years and classes are taught by the grand master himself. Grandmaster kim will always push you to your limits and he knows exactly how far to push every different individual. He teaches the true and traditional form of Tae kwon do. It is very challenging but very very fun.The kids love grandmaster Kim and master sammy I dont know what is up with the kathy mcdaniel review but it seems from her other reviews that she never has anything nice to say, and I dont understand how somebody wants a refund of art that has been taught. People are always welcomed to come and watch the classes so you can see for yourself. If you are an elite athlete and not sure if grandmaster kim can push you to your limits then I dare you to sign up for private lessons lol. (he used to train dallas cowboys like herchel walker and others)
